Not much chat about Malceski?

I took the punt on him and it hasnt paid off. Typically im a no sideways trades kinda SCer but he's obviously playing a new role at GC/getting more attention and its severely affecting his scoring..

Team as it stands:

DEF: Malceski, Shaw, Newnes, C. Pearce, Goodes, McIntosh (Oxley, Saad)
MIDS: Selwood, Fyfe, Griffen, Watson, Beams, Vandenberg, Ellis-Yolman (Heeney, Miller, Cripps)
RUCKS: Natanui, Bellchambers (Naismith)
FWDS: Bontempelli, Gray, Franklin, Hogan, Salem, Clark (Lamb, Lonie)

In bold are my players of.... interest. Not sure who needs to go or if corrective trades need to be made...

Advice please!!

in all serious i wasnt that unhappy when he left the Swans.

He plays in the backline but often forgets his player and they run lose. Got a lot of possessions in the Swans when he went in the mids.Haven't seen any of the GC games but i was never going to touchj Eski this year.

I dont see an upside in him being in yoiur team

I did the same thing, was hoping to get a bit of a leg up since no one picked him.

To be honest though, the Suns have been playing like crap and it was always going to take him a bit to get going.

I'm going to hold though, even though his price will plummet. For me personally I already have Shaw, Simpson and Smith, so they're definitely picking up the slack.

He will come good, I'd be more inclined to try bring another premium in for Goodes or Pearce in your case.

I have him and have the same dilemma...I have been looser with my trading this year compared to my last few and yet I am holding one more week...if he doesn't perform this week I'm gonna cut him

Didn't think for one second I was buying a 105 average, but I thought I would get a top 6 back and 22 games of it.

Won't trade him, will be one of those ones you judge after the full journey.

Always thought Rocky Eski and maybe Gray and GAJ were to expensive for the output.
Started with Gray and GAJ.
If eski gets down to 450- I might look at bye upgrade from rookie. He is Not looking good at the moment and different role at GCS.
May not even consider at byes unless things change

Smith, Shaw definites and then throw a bag over the rest of the defenders this year.
Bit late to trade him now unless you think he is going below 400 and 85 average

Just wondering what you guys think should be done with Malceski?

Definitely wasn't going in expecting another 105 average, but was prepared to pay a bit extra for (what should be) a top 6 defender.

I still believe he will come good and get there, but not sure what to do in the meantime.

The problem is I already own Smith, Simpson and Shaw, and trading Malceski I would want to make sure I bring in a top 6 defender, but there is still quite a bit of uncertainty on who will stand up.

I'm not prepared to bring in the likes of Rance, Hooker and McDonald just yet, however Hodge is looking very likely.

Malceski has to find form doesn't he? I noticed yesterday he was making good position, especially running through the midfield, but the young Suns players kept looking to go long rather than into the corridor.

Ugh!

Eski, Simpson, Smith and Shaw? That's stacked!

Eski will drop more and more cash. Either stick it out, or downgrade him to use the cash to upgrade another line - so essentially consider it a structural trade

His form will depend on form of Suns.

Suns not good enough ATM to get ball in his hands to set up play.

So he's had to try and earn more of his own ball, which hasn't come off thus far.

I did have Newnes in, but swapped him out for Smith after round 1 with some extra cash I had!

I'm thinking of holding. Worst case he could become a pretty handy D6 once Gaz comes back and the Suns start winning some games.

He's too good to average 50 for the year, a 90 average from now on would be fine. They play GWS this week so hopefully he can find a bit more of the ball
