^ Not surprising at all.

28 days left. Today's focus in on another bloke with a brother in the systme, meet Callum Ah Chee.
My boy will add to the leagues best forward line ;D

Not sure he'll be available at either of Hawthorn's picks mate and certainly not at the Eagles first one.
He will be once we add him with Mitchy McGovern to our forwards ;)

Of course hawthorns doesn't count as you cant have the best when you have losers in your side!

So many losers, considering most of our players have more flags then your whole club has!
What are you talking about, can that I can remember? ??? All I remember is a bunch of cheats and one floghead loser ;)

Crows the only ones done for cheating in the last 10 years

Tbag can you remind me what your theory behind Hawthorn being cheats is? I lose track of your conspiracy theories

He's the best non-academy midfielder in the draft, today's draft trumps focus is on Darcy Parish.

Mad respect to anyone who soliders on through incredibly sad personal circumstances, Luke Partington is one of those guys.

Wouldn't mind this bloke at the Eagles!

I dare say it'll be a very big chance.

Money Shot

Is McKay a forward that can play ruck or a ruck that can play forward?

Likely to end up at Brisbane through their academy - Eric Hipwood.

Very big chance providing Keays does not get selected within the top 10.  We have enough points stock piled to take both Keays and Hipwood if the are picked at 10 and 11.
Can not see him playing straight up as he is still growing and as article says can be pushed off.

Yeah he's still very weak, but has great talent. Will be a long prospect. But he will pay off. No doubt.

Would not bet on Keays being selected with a top 10 pick. My reasons;

1) He wants to go to the Lions which will deter most clubs;
2) The elite mids in the draft are exceptional talents (Keays too, but I don't think they will be willing to pass on another talent who is not already aligned with a club); &
3) The kpp's are better this season than any other (this year is the time to pick the talls, a team with a top 10 pick isn't going to divert their attention from Francis, McKay, Weideman, Curnow, Schache, Weitering, and others that are all AFL-ready and after that Mills, Parish, Hopper, Mathieson, Kennedy, Balic and others (plus talented half forwards in Milera and Ah Chee) will fill out the top-10).

If Keays was not an academy prospect, I would have him anywhere between 11-20 (a team would have to be set on him to use picks 11-14). He's a talented player and has a strong work ethic but some of the other mids have a niche that technically separates them from the others (Keay's niche is leadership more than anything - I still consider him top crop among the midfielders).

Honestly, the only situation I see a team bidding for Keays with a top 10 selection is out of spite. Brisbane should easily get both their prospects in the 11-20 range

Blind leading the blind ......
What is the theory though?
There's no theory and I don't have to answer to your silly University type questions ::)

From a footy perspective and not a young and blind, naïve Uni one .......  Yeah I said it, deal with it. Welcome to the real world!
Everyone knows Mitchell took out Tex but he got off, all fair right? Except the next player he took out was Nat the Brownlow Medalist Fyfe. Plus all the players that simply copped fines for belting blokes throughout the year ...............

Footage of Parish

Very impressive, he makes decisions so quickly, has a good kick and is also a fairly good mark

The more I see Parish, the more I see Cousins. The big ???'s over Parish are a), his size & b), lack of anything exceptional. Cousins was listed at 179cm, 78kg. Give a few extra kilos, I can see Parish easily playing at 180cm 81kg. He has an inside game, but those saying he'll be pushed off by the likes of Kennedy (most midfielders would be!) that's not where his strengths lie. Cousins wasn't an elite contested beast, was no power athlete, but he was a hell of a footballer who gave 100% (and probably more, if ya know what I mean) every week. I think that's what you'd expect from Parish. I'd say the most important trait to have, somewhat lost in this modern hunt for athletic freaks, is the ability to play football. Some guys just have it.

Oh, and what's that doing on Sydney's page btw?

I've noticed others comparing him to Cousins too. Unfortunately I'm just a little bit too young to remember him, but one of these days I'm gonna have to watch some old games. You're right in that he doesn't really stand out in anything physically, but Parish really seems to have a great footy brain. His ability to make the right decision instantly is very uncommon. The main concern would be that he's not going to have the same amount of space at AFL level, but hopefully he can overcome that.

No idea why it was on Sydney's page - definitely the best footage I've seen of him though

Some players just create their own space. Pendlebury sees everything so well, he always knows what direction to take his first step, giving him that extra half a second every time he gets the ball. Parish seems to run some great angles through the contest himself, but he's stronger at running into the right positions to get the ball on the outside. I can see him having a Lachie Whitfield type of debut season.
