Boy, if one of Oliver/Hibberd falls to 23/25, I'd be stoked!

Players I'd love to see the Bombers get:

4/5:
Parish - fills a need with a classy outside (but handy inside) mid.
Francis - if Parish goes at 3, Francis is a player you simply couldn't pass up.
Curnow - I feel 5 would be too high for him personally, but fills a need in supporting Daniher. A versatile, mobile 2nd tall forward seems the way to go these days (Darling, Gunston, Stringer etc).

23:
Oliver - I don't expect him to last his long, but he would be the perfect heir to Watson. If we somehow landed Parish and Oliver, I think our future midfield would be all but complete!
Hibberd - name aside, he seems to have all the makings to become a player that should go higher in the draft. Can never have too many Hibberd's in one team  8)

44:
I'd love Collins but he'll fall in between our earlier picks. A Hartley, Brown or Coughlan would be nice to hopefully overtake Gwilt/Pears/Steinberg.

I agree with you completely there Hibberd, good work.

4- Parish - Fast and amazing footskills, perfect mold of an outside midfielder

5- Curnow - Perfect 2nd tall to Daniher, but if that fails, he can be used as a tall midfielder. With pace like his, it would be stupid to not give him a go in the midfield

23- Luke Partington - Would finish your midfield for the future in my opinion, Luey, Heppell, Parish, Merrett. With Partington and Colyer on the wings.

Is pick 50 worth much in this draft?

Not in your typical 18yo footballer. Maybe one of a few project Sudanese guys, or a mature-aged KPD.

But others know more than me.

A club may get lucky with a pick around that mark, but there's every chance that Pick 50 this year will be nothing special.

Best punts i'd take around pick 50 would be;

Nicholas Coughlan - Key Position Defender who is overage

Dylan Smith - Key Position Forward, will take 3-4 years to develop! So patience would be needed

Jesse Glass-McCasker - Key Position Defender, absolute beast of a shutdown tall. Just very inconsistent at the moment.

Yestin Eades - Line Breaker Mid, again will take years to develop and is inconsistent

Josh Schoenfeld - Gun Outside Mid, only reason he gets over looked is because he isn't damaging (yet)

Hope that helps man!

Is Karl Brown a chance at getting drafted?

Depends if any club is willing to risk on a late round Key Forward. More likely he'd go as a Rookie. But if someone like Carlton are a bit worried about their Key Forward stocks, they could put a late pick on him. But at this point, if he's going to go, it'll be as a rookie.

I really hope Carlton select Weideman in the draft at pick 8! I reckon he should still be available and it would mean we have a key defender and key forward for the future!

Gibbs
Weideman
Casboult
Kreuzer, Cripps, Murphy

That's a pretty strong back bone!

4 number 1 picks there. you would hope it would be somewhat decent.

I really hope for their sake Weideman is available! I think he's worth somewhere in the teens normally, but being the best available KPF behind Schache he'll go top 10, no doubt.

It really depends on who Melbourne now take at 3! If they take Parish, Essendon shouldn't pass on Francis, then they'll want the best available midfielder IMO. However, if the Bombers get Parish at 4 they'll definitely consider Curnow and Weid to help the forward line out.

Without looking right into it. This is what what top 6 looks to be at the moment... GC Should jump on Weideman... Just lost Dixon. So should be a decent replacement.

1. Carl-Weitering
2. Bris-Schache
3. Melb-Parish
4. Ess-Francis
5. Ess-Curnow
6. GC- Weideman

Mat0369

I figured GC were anticipating Dixon leaving last year, hence drafting Wright who wasn't a need at the time. They also still have Lynch, Day and a few others. I think they need that medium tall not another KP

H1bb3i2d

2 Meter Peter was just a player they couldn't pass up on in 8. Now the Dees have 3 and 7, seems like they'd take Parish at 3 and hope for one of Curnow/Weids at 7. Essendon will take probably one, every chance GC don't take the other.

Just for fun:
1. Carl-Weitering
2. Bris-Schache
3. Melb-Parish
4. Ess-Francis
5. Ess-Curnow
6. GC- ???? (Mathieson)
7. Melb-Weideman
8. Carl- ???? (Balic)
9. Adel-Milera
10. Ess-Oliver

Pls get pick 10 Dodo ;) (would be disappointed in a way not to land a top 10 mid this year).
