^ Exactly.

Weideman will just need a couple of years in the system like most young, tall forwards. Clubs aren't going to avoid simply because he didn't test overly well before he was drafted. He'll fill a need and has the talent and ability to become a really good player.

A bit like if the Lions take Shachie, not going to impact for a few years, their midfield will be getting old when he's ready to dominate!

But should they get a few more top 5 draft picks in coming years to draft mids to support him ....

Yeah, he just needs a big enough tank to run out an AFL game - which is not a big ask

What he will be recruited to do is lead, take contested marks, and shot (I'm pretty sure he tested as elite in shot accuracy). As long as he can run out a full game, I cannot see him being a draft bust (plenty of players in every drafting pool that need to do more than just improve their fitness, so the media might be denigrating him because he's one of the best key forwards in the talent pool - Curnow will start taking the media's attention now though  :P )

One of the more talented and versatile players in the draft pool that should go top 10 - Wayne Milera

My bet would be the Suns

He will need some time to develop, but he's easily one of the best players available in terms of potential

I'd say the crows would be happy if Milera is still available and wouldn't hesitate @9, given he played senior footy this year for Centrals I am expecting he might go before that

And when does Emma Quayle do her phantom draft?

And when does Emma Quayle do her phantom draft?
I assume she'll drop it some time on Tuesday.

Last year she published it on the day of the draft.

Emma Pls.

Interesting the difference in Quigleys draft and Landsbergers drafT from a Lions perspective.

Quigley has Keays at 8 and Hipwood at 10 and if correct Lions do not have enough points to match,

Landsberger has Hipwood at 15 and Keays at 22.

Will be interesting to see where Emma places them as she has a sound record for draft predictions.
