Bad luck Cairo, good game

Undisciplined Tokyo Unpunished

It really came down to Buenos Aires captain Mitch Wallis (15) going down injured early in the match, and unable to be subbed out, that robbed a great opportunity at back-to-back wins for the Dillos. Tokyo were very unimpressive, but a win's a win and they will be counting themselves lucky at this one.

Spetsnaz reveal Sins to Saints

Both these teams have had inconsistent years so far, and the trend continued this match, with Christchurch playing on their high and Moscow on their low. Christchurch have once again shown their potential, while Moscow have once again shown their weakness. A very disappointing result for the Spetsnaz.

London remind competition with a Royal hiding

Where did this come from?! I admit, I didn't think they were capable of a score that big, but shut my mouth ey? London just keep finding ways to win, but this is their first win that will gain some respect from the competition. Well done. Cape Towns' nightmare start to the season continues, dropping 3 winnable matches on the trot. Will be hard to come back from this start.

Beijing Thunder-clouds' Suns

If there ever was a match stolen from the opposition, then this is was certainly happened. Sunday morning, Mexico looked forward to a healthy HGA of 64, Jimmy Bartel and Matthew Stokes to bring home a comfortable and vital win. But it all fell apart, with a Lachie Neale inspired Beijing storming home to blast the Suns out of the stadium! Mexico City are now 1-2!

If you weren't scared last week...

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! What is that?! Dublin has pulverised the record of highest score in a match, and are officially the first ever team to crack 1900. With an unprecedented 12 centurions, and had it been a home match, their HGA would have been 86 and they would have cracked 2000!

What New Delhi should take out of this, is that they really could have outscored a few sides this week had they had 15 players available.

The Islanders walk all over the Sands

^^ as an Islander always does I guess ^^

Pacific have continued to impress this season; taking another vital scalp in its daring run at the finals. Cairo however, have now scored below 1300 two weeks in a row now, and has paid the price with two losses (against teams that they need to knock over to make the finals). With players going down to injury, and Mumford not performing... how will the Sands respond?

Wolves show sharper teeth than Reindeers

The Wolves have well and truly bounced back from their round 1 disappointment, with another impressive win against another quality opposition in the PNL reindeers. The Wolves midfield continues to be the key, and were simply too good for the average Reindeers. With two scores under 136 in a row now, some are beginning to question whether the Reindeers deserve to be top 4 favourites?

PNL Reindeers (21.9.135) lost to Toronto Wolves (22.8.140)

Rio Celebrate First Win in Style!

They have done it! The Jaguars have notched their first ever win, and more impressively, without the best WXV player of all time in Gary Ablett Jnr! New York would be bitterly disappointed, not necessarily dropping the match, but in the manner it did so after two impressive weeks in a row. Have the Jaguars exposed a weakness in the Revolution?

Seoul show no Soul in loss against Berlin

This was a pretty ordinary match, with 16 players scoring below 80 (12 from Seoul). But with the absence of no particularly low scorers, it was the Brewers all-round stability that proved the difference. Seoul Captain Dangerfield didn't produce and it has exposed a weakness in the Seoul line-up after their nail-biting win against Cairo last week. Berlin were unimpressive, but got the result they needed and it was most certainly needed to keep in touch with the 8.

SOMEONE NOTICED!!!!

I've done that 3 weeks in a row now lol

Toga

Stoked to have notched up two wins early in the season, certainly the best start to the season in a while for Jing! Let's hope we can get our forward line sorted and push for a few more in the coming weeks!

Unbelievable effort from Lachie Neale to get us over the line, good to have him stand up as a captain replacement for Wines for the next little while. Also great to see our reserves pumping out some good scores, with a few players waiting in the wings... Jackson Thurlow might be set to finally break out!
