The guy threatens reporters at the Brownlow, does speed and coke regularly, drinks to excess and can still go out and tear it up on the football field.  Just imagine if he was a disciplined player.

That said, he's a loose unit who GCS would be wanting to trade but I doubt anyone will take him. A promising career that will likely be over soon.
I doubt his career will be over. There's plenty out there who are/were just as bad and turned it around. Clubs will still invest in him, even if GC won't.

Interesting question about turning him around. Still wonder how it has got this far though. Who at GC is supposed to be looking after the players welfare? I am just starting to think that the coach change over may have had something to do with poor off field tolerances. Rocket brought in to lay down the law maybe.

Throw a bunch of kids up on the Gold Coast, give them more money than their parents earn, surround them with some questionable personalities and it can get ugly quick. Wouldn't be surprised if guys like JOM and Prestia are looking at their options

He's young so maybe you're right but he continues to defy the club despite suspensions, etc. lots of clubs won't risk getting him as he may influence their younger players.

He's an amazing talent but no club wants players that consider themselves 'untouchable'.

Frozensage

suspended again awesome... that's like 5 donuts I have got from him between injuries and suspensions.... never again!!

Very true mate, age and a ton of money with a bad influence around is a recipe for disaster. Im not condoning it by any means but expecting kids which is what they are to get it right 100% of the time and not make mistakes is narrow minded. Young people will do stupid stuff and make mistakes simply because they think they know better or believe they won't get caught. I was young once and did plenty of dumb shower. I feel clubs have naive people looking after the welfare of their junior and senior players, these people can't see the forest for the trees.  You can't simply take someone's word "No i haven't No i didn't" you need absolute proof and the only way to get that is to drug test inhouse during the off season aswell as during. For me if clubs are genuinely concerned and they should be then they need to raise the bar to a point where they can be 99.9% certain their players are doing the right thing by themselves and the club otherwise all they are doing is token gestures to meet the standards of due care and that my friends isn't actually caring about someone it's just going through the motions.

They didn't name him KHunt for nothing
KHunt didnt take the photo. He was in the room with 3 chicks and a UDL i believe

KHunt had the photo of the golf day still on his instagram account

Well said Grazz.   It is easy to call players stupid, dumb etc however regardless of environment they are still young men learning who they are.   Yes a good club environment and off field support is needed.  Imagine how it would be if all parents of young men turned their back on them.    three years ago my son came to me with drug issues.  I spent the next 24hours sitting over him as he came down and next months and years working with him.  Today i am proud of person he has become.   It is not right to turn our back on these kids.       OTOH Khunt led these kids astray and what club would allow someone to live him when they doubted his integrity.

would love to see bennell suspended for rest of year.   Then get on with being the support in midfield GCS need.

Deadly6

Well said. Yes they are professional well paid athletes doing what we would love to have been able to do, but they are still young, highly charged blokes in the prime of their life wanting a bit of fun along the way. Just like all of us except we could get away with it as Upper Timbucktoo Thirds were pretty casual on discipline.

He is great for football, let's hope football is great for him.

Next question is.... Do we trade him?

If you can make it work, I would.  But I'm low on trades and have other problems, thinking I might let the dust settle and hope he plays next week.

Yes, Rocket ruled him out for this week.

Flower this clown, I've had enough of his shower. Can see his career on the scrap heap, plenty of other kids that don't get the oppurtuinty to play, any number would gladly take his spot.

Welcome to round 14 donuts.

I'm also low on trades and don't really want to drop him

Wish we knew how long he'd be out for

I don't think so.  Working in Harley's favour is the fact this was 2.5 years ago, before the season started.  The AFL didn't catch him.  So in that sense, they are powerless to do anything.  Libba was caught at the time, hence the suspension.

The media is running riot with this but I don't think too much can happen suspension wise.
