GAJ to sloane. Then
Cocky to either:
NVB. Leaves me 167k
Or
Rich. Leaves me 35k

Is it worth spending more on rich or keeping some cash for other upgrades?
Have goodes I wanna get rid of for oxley next week.
Have sexton I wanna trAde hopefully to bont.
Rest of my team is great. All top rookies I have  ( except NVB, hogan and oxley)
Wat to do??

steven3

Just need some help with my trades if you guys wouldnt mind

Definately going Cocky > NVB this week but the other trade im not too sure on

GAJ > Sloane
Will give me 111,900 for the Brown > Oxley trade next week
Projected Brown > Oxley will give me -22,353 leaving me with 89,547 for future trades

or

Brown > Oxley
Will give me 17,200 and a GAJ > Sloane trade next week
Projected GAJ > Sloane will give me 95,158 and overall 112,358 for future trades

Projections done on current average*

Which do you think is the other trade i should make this week? Go for points with gaj to sloane or for money with brown to oxley

Thanks in advance

Personally would go Rich mate, negative BE, and will rise to $500k within no time, ripened and ready for either a cash injection from a downgrade or an upgrade to a super premium.
Goodes to Oxley is no problem next week, however Sexton to Bont may be unnafordable. Bont will be around $480k by this time next week, so maybe NVB is the best option if you wanted to go down that track (dunno how much Sexton is)
Best of luck anyway champ, hope you choose the right option!

GAJ to Sloane everyday of the week mate. $20k for a loss of 50-60 points is simply not worth waiting a week on him, because you will be forced to play a rookie instead while Sloane carves it up against Melbourne. Oxley can wait a week mate, and although he will increase in price it doesn't outweigh your injection of points. Best of luck.

Going GAJ to Shiel, reckon Shiel will either be a good M8 or will make enough cash before the byes to swap to somebody else if things go pear shaped.

Question is, do I bring in NVB for Cripps, Brayshaw or Miller, or do I not bring him in at all? Bringing him in for Cripps or Brayshaw seems sort of wasteful, but if I bring him in for Miller then I lose the money I've gained by trading GAJ down and won't be able to go Goodes > premium next round.

Alternatively, I could also do the following

Lamb > Bont
Miller > Rich

bartsy

IF Goodes is chopped tonight and/or Brayshaw is sub again tomorrow........would you look at the following
Goodes > Byrne &
Brayshaw > Rich?

I know it seems like you're just burning a couple of trades and not getting any keepers or cash out of it, but Rich will be a great asset for scoring and be virtually a straight swap for a fallen premo when the time comes. The way the Blues have started there is a great opportunity for some new blood to get a fair run of games if they apply themselves. I don't know anything about Byrne but a great gaelic footballer is likely to better at AFL than any of the Blues are.

Team is
Def - B. Smith, Hodge, Lumumba, Newmes, McIntosh, Oxley - Saad, Goodes
Mid - Fyfe, Pendles, Wines, Dusty, Selwood, parker, Vanders, Heeney - CEY, Brayshaw, Miller
Ruck - Goldy, Nic Nat - Cox
Fwd - Swan, Bennell, Hogan, Belly, Salen, Clark - Saad, Lonie

only have $18k in bank. trades men tioned would leave me with $3k. Other option is Goodes - Byrne and Miller - NVB

Thanks for your help

Hey guys, I've posted on Holz thread but I would be interested to hear some other peoples thoughts.

Option 1: Miller to van Berlo and T.Lamb to either J.McGrath, T.Dickson or C.McCarthy to maximise cash generation.
Option 2: A.Swallow to Rich/van Berlo  and trade T.Lamb to J.Ziebell and bank ~230K
Option 3: A.Swallow to JPK and trade Miller to van Berlo and bank ~40k

I'm playing for league rather than overall so I'm more looking to maximise my cash generation. Which option is best?

Probably cost you 40k, Sloane is also due for an increase so it's not as bad as it appears.

Doing my head in trying to decide which way to go

GAJ and Cocky are out, but who comes in?

1. Bont and Shiel
2. JPK and NVB
3. Goldy and Rich (Bellchambers moves from R2 to F4 as Gray moves from F1 to M5)

Seriously have no flowering idea which way to go

Bont and Shiel appear to be getting 2 keepers into the side which is attractive, while JPK and NVB get me a keeper and Cash Cow and then Goldy and Rich means I can move Belly from R2 to F4 giving me set and forget rucks and Rich at M6

WTF do I do?

I would rule out option 1 based on the rumours, Bont may well play but he isn't 100%, you can't afford the risk. Option 2 is solid, it's the way I'm going only it will be Sloane and not JPK. I really like option 3 but I would prefer to see another sample of the ruck rules, I think there will be some bargain rucks so better to wait and snap them up dirt cheap. Jacobs could be one who drops quite a bit.

Have you considered going GAJ > Shiel/Bont, Cocky > NVB and then getting a keeper next round? I'm thinking of doing the same thing, get's me two keepers and a cash cow.

I have, but that uses a 3rd trade, so it's just a mute point

As for The Bont. All I've heard is that it's a corked calf. If that's all it is, then that doesn't concern me

Even if he missed this week he would be my M6 for the meantime anyway, so I have cover

He would eventually make it to F5/6

If your bench cover is solid then go for it, but don't forget it's the Hawks and not some team of person footers.

Sounds like your talking him down to justify not picking him yourself ;) You were pumping him up early in the week :)

If I pick the Bont, I pick him thinking I can get a permanent F6 for 420k, and an average of 90+ is acceptable, but his upside is there for more. Tough opponents or not, 10 tackles a game tells me he doesn't rely completely on getting the pill to score well
