If I was trading one it would be Ablett. Selwood has just been a bit poor, Ablett on the other hand looks well underdone.

Different situation. Why do you think Selwood will not get back to his average for the year. Call it 115. Then he will average more than 115 to get there.

GAJ is clearly injured and struggling with recovery and playing without his normal skils. So he is going to be played up forward, have much less tackles and probably less contested possessions. Therefore the issue with GaJ is more about his rate of recovery. There are going to be some great winners and losers on this trade between now and the byes.

I am kcking myself for not following my advise pre season and dropping him. Different now and will look at numbers and probablities of his recovery compared to alternatives such as JPK, Sloan, Dangerfield and upgraded Wells. Is he likely to continue being managed for next nine weeks. Who knows, any physios out there who can give us some information?

I made one trade last week so am a little hesitant to trade this week, but Gary and Bellchambers are making me really nervous.

Thinking of doing something like this:

Ablett > Rich
Bellchambers > Goldstein

Essentially swapping a premium for a premium and a mid pricer for a mid pricer (but Rich is easily going to make more cash than Belly).

Rich would sit at M5 for me, and the trade leaves me with 120k in the bank so he could easily be upgraded with a single trade in a month's time.

I'm thinking of going Gaz/Belcho -> Shiel/Goldy. I really see Shiel stepping into the true Premo/keeper status. Will not get the tag, goal kicker, clearances, contested possessions. All ticks.

My only dilemma is I also want to go Miller -> NVB with my cash, and I don't have Oxley....

Haven't really considered Shiel. At a nice price and the number SC scorer after 2 rounds so will come into a lot of teams but worth noting he's played against Melbourne and St.Kilda...so I'll need more convincing.

Just need to remind myself that this is the week when we simply do our corrective trades

If I'm not happy with the keeper, or the structure I started with, then I simply make the changes

Problem for me personally though is, I cant fix everything lol

Leuenberger - Hogan (switch TBC into ruck)
Miller - NVB

Leaves me with $140K cash to splash during upgrades
Hogan and NVB should make at least $200K each vs very slow burners with limited cash generating potential

But would lose my ruck backup

Feel I have got my rookies right, apart from perhaps Van Berlo.

Want to make a 'bold' move - aim is for top 1k overall by years end.

GAJ > Shiel
Cripps > Bonts

or

GAJ > Bonts
Miller > Docherty (via Newnes DPP)

or

Safe move would be GAJ > Fyfe

Thoughts?
