How much cash will that leave you post trade?

$69,800 and 23 trades remaining.

Then looking to do 3 trades in the next 2 weeks. Sheed > Glenn and Kmac/Goodes > McKenzie next week then Lonie > Jelwood using Gray in the following week and should leave $125k-ish in the kitty after doing all 3 trades.

*EDIT*
Pretty content leaving the backline til last, its really not bothering me much at the moment. Sure Newnes and Lumumba arent doing what I expected them to but I'd rather hold and wait for now and get every else sorted. Especially considering the point differential between average backmen and elite backmen is nowhere near as big as the gap between average mids and elite mids

So now that Bennell is out I have a decision to make. Assuming that Sloane plays i can either;
1 - Keep Bennell fwd and loophole Clark friday night and field 2 of Clark/Lonie/Hogan
2 - Swing Gray fwd and field Clark in the fwds and Touk Miller comes on for Bennell

Which do we think is more valuable, loopholing clark in case he spuds up + lonie OR just fielding clark + touk. Im leaning towards Clark and Touk

Raiden

Hold Bennell - Field Miller & Clark, Touk has been playing pretty well the last couple & should go aright against the Crows.

With Goodes back in he has to go. Unless you take a risk on a downgrade option, an upgrade is the only thing that looks somewhat logical. Obviously this isn't ideal but if you have identified any defensive premos it might be worth doing something like this

Goodes>Premo
Salem>Glenn using Bont. That should give you coverage in all the positions with Harley and CEY out this week and it shouldn't stunt your cash generation. You can use Bennell to loophole score Clark and Lonie while having coverage in all the other lines

YoungGun

Yeh upgrading goodes sounds logical but I am definitely not going to do that, I'm really really keen on Salem to Danger. Therefore I'm either going to keep Goodes and cop the cash drop and hopefully use him as a loophole option in the future. Or go early on McKenzie. Not sure which I will do but I am 100% getting in Dangerfield

Round 6 Score 2169
Weekly Rank 18,354
Overall Rank 624

DEF: Heater, Newnes, Lumumba, Oxley, McIntosh, Saad (Brown, Goodes)
MID: Pendles, Fyfe, Sloane, JPK, Dangerfield, Gray, Miller, Vandenberg (Bennell, CEY, Sheed)
RUCK: Goldstein, Maric (Cox)
FWD: Dusty, Bontempelli, Swan, Krak, Tarrant, Clark (Lonie, Hogan)

So so week, nothing great nothing too bad. Stay pretty much at the same ranking. Dropped slightly thanks to poor performances from the new man Dangerfield, Sloane, Swanny, Vanders, Kmac and Bennell being out didn't help.

Locked in McIntosh to McKenzie and tossing up whether or not to do Hogan to Glenn bringing Bennell back forward or not.

CONS - Glenn might not be a great cow and obviously did not perform well this week
PROS - If I do get Glenn in then next week I should be able to do Lonie > Selwood & Miller > Rockliff which is mighty appealing

Would mean that I have premos from M1-M7 and F1-F5 before rnd 8, for this reason I am leaning towards getting Glenn in if he is named

*EDIT* Now with sloane out for 4-6 weeks he may have to go, most disappointing thing is he had dropped some much cash that its not only going to be a trade down the drain but also 100k. Possibly leaving sloane out til next week if I want to get glenn. Really want to hold sloane but don't think I can justify holding him on the bench for that long, if I do I'm confident Sheed/CEY can do a job for me but it will still be points dropped. I have a feeling if it's 4-6 then Rory will manage to be back in 4

YoungGun

Quick question, given my ranking is decent and that I am still looking to go for overall is it crazy that I want to keep Sloane?

WordWeb

i reckon trade him. If ur eyeing overall, its best to have all of your POD to play while upgrading rookies. For Sloane, maybe downgrade him to mckenzie and field Bennell. Next week you can then upgarde a VDB or Hogan with the cash you got from the Sloane downgrade.

yeh either downgrading him this week or upgrading next week makes sense but idk, just doesnt feel like what I want to do. Might downgrade Tosh and Hogan to Lever a week early and McKenzie. Then if I cant double upgrade the next week as I wanted ill just trade Sloane sideways to Selwood I think

Round 7 Score 2146
Weekly Rank 24,563
Overall Rank 865

DEF: Heater, Newnes, Lumumba, Oxley, Lever, Goodes (Brown, Saad)
MID: Pendles, Fyfe, JPK, Dangerfield, Gray, Sheed, Miller, Vandenberg (Sloane, CEY, McKenzie)
RUCK: Goldstein, Maric (Cox)
FWD: Dusty, Bontempelli, Swan, Bennell, Tarrant, Clark (Lonie, Krak)

So once again, its a so-so week and I'm not happy with my progress. Krak on the bench over Clark hurt but going early on Lever for a 38 as well as 30 odd from Vanders, 47 from Harry O it just wasn't a good week. Big scores today from premiums saved my score somewhat and like I said last week, still in the top thousand so still in the hunt.

Really need to be moving up the rankings so I am going bold and bringing in 2 premiums this week. Im happy to go on rockliff this week even though I can wait a week, if he smashes out a big week I want to be on board. As I stated earlier I was hoping to go to Glenn last week and be able to afford to get Rocky and Selwood this week but that isn't the case. It isn't all bad though, without really planning it I've just noticed I can afford (just afford) to get in Treloar this week. Personally I actually really like the guy and think he is capable of going 115 for the rest of the season. Only one truly poor score when they were belted by WCE and also a 78 but given his massive ceiling the odd 80 game can be tolerated. He is capable of breaking the ton nearly every week for the remainder of the year and could be a nice POD.

So I'm planning on still holding Sloane on the bench, hopefully CEY and Saad are back in so they can take to the field for me this week, especially Saad.

Planning to go Vanders > Rockliff and Lonie > Treloar via Gray

Do you think it is smart going on Treloar this week or better off waiting a week or two and getting Selwood? I personally don't really like Selwood that much so it could be swaying my decision. Right now I am sold on getting Treloar in, great value at <500k

Gandalf123

Yeah Im doing the double upgrade, bringing in Rocky and treloar this week, didn't realise how good of value he was! Had him last yr too and he served me well and I reckon he'll boost his average again this year, gun,  jump on

yep I agree, he is super value and I really like the kid. tackle numbers are good which is good for helping keep a high floor and avoiding stinkers. interestingly his two bad scores he only laid 1 tackle. just a fun fact haha he is in and I am happy about it

YoungGun

There has been plenty of carnage lately, sheed going down hurts as he has started to play some really good footy and has been scoring decent. Sloane stays on the pine injured as well, however neither can be used as loopholes which is bloody annoying. CEY back means he takes Sheed's on field spot and Saad back is great news because I wasn't looking forward to fielding 2 of Goodes/Lever/Brown.

Even with Sheed out I'm thinking I will hold him and hope he is back next round or the one after and then he can provide me with good cover over the byes. So still going to go Vanders to Rocky and Lonie to Treloar via Gray. Only risk with holding Sheed is I have him and Sloane scoring donuts at M10 and M11 so further injuries will hurt.

Should I hold Vandenberg instead and ditch Sheed? Both give cover for Byes 11 & 12 but i've just been loving Sheeds performances lately and they are sustainable.
