newnes will almost be my first go didnt look like it last week but i will not panic just yeat

Given Newnes is premo priced I think I will bring in one of the stalwarts like Birch who will be a POD now that he's missed the first week. As for Lumumba, he has one more week otherwise I will probably bring in one from the list above depending on how they go this week.

Hunt 64 today

Feel like a lot of people are going to get sucked in by last weeks performance

Before the season started I wasn't convinced one bit, and still aren't

I'm stuck with Goodes which makes things hard, especially if he gets dropped, but Geary for mine is the pick of the bunch

The Bomber

I was one who jumped onto Hunt this week.

1. The 117 he scored in the first round is handy
2. He is always listed in the midfield
3. Jaksch got injured.

Still he should avg more than most 400k+ defenders IMO...

Josh Bruce know nothing about him or seen him mentioned around the place but 145 and 81 for 294K BE of -54. Is he stepping up this year or just a 1 of game? +50K for Goodes but looking at a price increase of 50K+ this week.

Looked pretty good on the weekend and could be an alternative to Goodes, I'm generally hesitant to grab key position players however and feel he would need to pile on 150k to make it worthwhile, possible but St Kilda will start to come up against some quality opposition soon.

At the moment the best budget priced option appears to be Shane Savage, he has actually scored more tons than Brodie Smith & Kade Simpson over the past 9 matches.

Good selection, the thing with Savage is we have an excellent sample size to work with, 10 game average is 93 and this is pretty much from the moment he started in the rebounding defenders role. I think he's a keeper.

Have we forgotten the clear breakout contender?

Just because he's a rook priced player... doesn't mean he's not a 3rd year AFL player, with a 3rd year hardened body, with a downright slutty link up role...

Kamdyn McIntosh.

RaisyDaisy

I sound like a novice even suggesting this, but Tom McDonald at 383k has to be considered

3 NAB matches with 98 being his lowest scores (2 other matches were tons) and has started with back to back tons

5 games with 98 being his lowest this year

Even considering a cheeky Lumumba to McDonald correction trade. Lumumba hasn't been bad at all, but that extra cash allows me to turn Cockatoo into NVB, and reckon there is no big loss by Lumumba to McDonald anyway
