Being honest, I wouldn't go near Boek or Betts. I think Glenn might be a goer though even if it is a week early

Glenn is on my radar ;) I am almost certain on doing Newton -> Glenn. It's just the Salem upgrade that is killing me.

Betts I really wanted last week, and with a good draw he could easily kill it. But then I want to worry about the byes and trading in good bye players, and even though Betts is good with his Rd 11 bye, I am slowly losing Rd 13 bye players and I feel that by going Gray then I will be better off in the byes. I will have to run the numbers to see what structure would work best. And Port *shouldn't* lose a match from here to the byes, so Gray will have plenty of chances to go crazy.

Martin always an option too I guess. Goddard I am not getting this week because of his bye.

Alright this is doing my head in. Anyone got any ideas?

The plan was Hamling -> Lever and Vanders -> Rockliff, but I am just short of doing that. So I have to pick one of the other. I could always do Vanders -> Lever. Is Lever worth it? I'm thinking that it isn't necessary. Is Rocky necessary this week? I'm leaning towards yes.

Anything else I could do? Vanders -> Mitchell has crossed my mind. I don't want to trade any Rd 11 bye players (Not that I have many), and I'd rather not downgrade in my defence (E.g Oxley). I could cull Westhoff but I know as soon as I do i will regret it.

McIntosh to Lever for the cash grab then VDBerg upgrade?

or out in the left of left field....if just short of $...look at Hamling out, McK back, get Lambert with his dpp and see if that helps with getting in Rocky   ::)

McIntosh is someone that has a good bye so I want to hold him. I have considered a third option, Oxley -> Lever, Vanders -> Gray

That is moving cash and pts from defence for the difference in EY and Gray, assuming that 's who you bench for Gray. Mckenzie not and option to be flicked over Oxley maybe? Just think you may be better holding some cash options for the Cripps/Miller/ EY upgrades as well if you can.

It would actually be the difference between Tarrant and Gray. I would swap Gray forward for Krakouer.

That works well. Tarrants cash may be useful over next week or 2  :)

It's too good to ignore the thought of what is hopefully a complete forward line heading into Round 8. I do realise I will likely need to move on Westhoff and Betts, I am missing a certain Dustin Martin in that forward line.

$221,200 left over, 18 trades, 4 spots that require upgrades before I start playing tinkering with the guys I picked at Keepers (Selwood, Westhoff, Lumumba)

I'm really stuck on what to do this week. Interested to hear what people think, only thing I am saying is that Rockliff will not be traded out this week. Enright? Simpson? Pendlebury?? All options. Do I get Dumont or hold for Boston? Or both? So many options.

Hey PB

Cripps and EY for Gray and Wallis?
Gray is in my forwards now :) Interesting thought there, but they are scoring well enough to not warrant an upgrade aren't they? :-\

Yeah Gray   :-[  Still logic remains are they keepers or upgrades? Keep if Keepers, upgrade if upgrades.
As an aside Saad still iffy this week I think. Keep an option up your sleeve.

That is a very very very good point which went over my head. I traded Oxley out two weeks ago for that exact reason, he was an upgradee and he reached his peak. Cripps has probably reached his peak (BE 100) and averages 87.6 (Excluding his two outliers).

So the question is will the extra money level out the loss in points? (By doing say Cripps -> Pendles instead of Saad -> Pendles) Cripps probably goes next week anyway so that actually makes me think he is a better option to trade out this week as Saad will at least make a few $$.

Thanks T Dog, you have opened my brain to consider something else now :)

Alright, after making what turned out to be the wrong move Cripps -> Pendles, should've gone to Simpson. Anyway it's done Pendles had to come in soon anyway, so here is my team as it stands pre trades:

My thoughts are:
KMac -> Enright
CEY -> Boston
Belly -> Brooksby

Those plans then lead into the following two for Round 12:
Saad -> Simpson
McKenzie -> D.Martin

Which leads into Round 13:
Dale -> Lambert/Steele (For DPP once Martin switches fwd)
Lever -> Def/Mid DPP Rookie
Dumont -> Sloane/Sidey

That would lead to a team that looks like:
Simpson, Shaw, Enright, Newnes, Hurn, Lumumba (Hamling, D/M Rook)
Fyfe, Pendles, JPK, Ward, Selwood, Beams, Rocky, Sloane (Boston, Glenn, Lambert/Steele)
Goldy, Nic Nat (Brooksby)
Gray, Martin, Bont, Swan, Franklin, Westhoff (Betts, Read)

8 trades, no cash

And then I focus on turning Boston into Hodge and moving Lumumba to bench cover.

Any issues in my plans?
