We certainly can win.

But it will be very tough.

If this was anywhere other than Simonds I'd be very concerned but that home ground advantage is huge. Why will we win? I think as poor as we were Monday, I think the bigger story is just how good Hawthorn is ... and are. They were mighty. They lifted the heat on us and unfortunately we buckled. For us, the midfield battle is the key week in week out. If we are on top in there. All of a sudden our backline is marking and intercepting. If we lose it, they look slow and shakey. While up the other end, we have a forward line that if given the chance via fast ball movement, will tear any defence apart. So we need a lift from Selwood, Johnson was good. The onus is on the 'next generation' mids. Duncan, Caddy, Guthrie, Motlop etc. It may be round 2, but I feel this is a pivotal game.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Geelong win comfortably.
They have barly lost a game at Simmonds in a decade and although Freo are stiff competition and play Simmonds well, they played a very high intensity game last week and Geelong will be out to prove a point. I'm tipping the cats
