Hi,Lost my 1st game and have 4 really tough matchups to start the year. And cant afford to be a premium short so was wanting to get rid of Deledio.

Backs:Malcevski Shaw Lumumba Goodes Mcintosh Birchall (Brown Saad)

Mids:Ablett Lewis Beams FYfe Heeney Ellis-Yolmen Griffen Cripps (Vandenberg J.Andersen, T.Miller)

Rucks:Goldtein,Nic Nat (Cox)

Fwds:DELEDIO Martin Swan Salem Hogan CLark (Lambert,Lonie)

I stuffed up by putting Lambert in the FWDs.So i cant put Deledio in the Mids for a week.

What are peoples thoughts?Straight swap to Bontempelli and make some cash?

How can you have lost your first game already?

Head to head doesn't start till round 2.  ::)

There are 10 team leagues in regular SC this season

Don't suppose you have the cash to grab Gray that would be the best solution but instead I'd probably grab Belly which would give you ruck cover and another look at Bongonpelli. If Bongonpelli backs up with another ton you could look at grabbing him the following week at the expense of Salem.

Is this worth it? I figure you have to take some risks...

With Bartel 50/50 this week, I've considered the following:
After 2 weeks, I'll have done the following:
Bartel - J. McGrath
Newnes - K. McIntosh
(nets me $746,800)

then
P.Cripps - Wines
NVB - Sloane

Thoughts?

I'm not happy with Lycett's score over the weekend, and I'm fearful he'lll keep scoring these sub-80 scores. I'm thinking of upgrading him to Swan. Should I hold off or go for it before the Round 2 lockout?
Also, I'm thinking of a double trade after Round 2: Minson/Goldy to Leuenberger, then Cockatoo to T Adams. Any thoughts?

I would hold. Tough match ups aside, this is the first round, burnin trades early will cost you at the other end. Rookie fix ups after the next round yes, trading a suspended prem at this stage no. If Lambert and Lonie are both out then you have a tough call to make but it's a marathon, not a sprint and I feel like Deledio will be worth having by the end of the season, so essentially you may find yourself 2 trades down to be where you started...

Wouldn't be jumping to bring in McGrath on one game, or McIntosh really. Essentially you're going from keeper fwd and possibly keeper defender to cow fwd and cow defender, then the next week going from 2 cow mids to a keeper mid and probable keeper mid (Wines will be good but I'd say top 20 rather than top 10). It's all kinds of sideways for 4 trades. If McIntosh goes well again this week and Cripps potatoes again then I'd consider the left field option of trading out Cripps, putting Newnes into mids to get in McIntosh, but that's it. NVB out did McGrath so that's kinda pointless, it's more than likely neutral from a money perspective. You're chasing scores a bit...

Lycett hasn't averaged over 80, you must have had some reason/faith in picking him over Swan to start with, which I don't think you can abandon based on one game... But yeah I think Swan was a no brainer pick really so you coud consider it a corrective trade but man... why didn't you start Swan over Lycett in the first place??
I don't think that second set of trades gains you much really, we don't know how rucks will pan out so this year will be a bit of a learning curve, I certainly wouldn't trade out Goldy. I don't think Adams will be up in the true top mids, reckon you'll lose less points from the difference between Minson and the top rucks than Adams and the top mids, so I would be holding.

Sloanes risky adeilade had a huge game and all their players scored big, i would look towards treloar he seems to be off the hook with the likes of griffin and ward in the mid

I only have 4k so I don't have enough for gray but is there any rookies I'm missing that I can downgrade one of my players to and then have the cash to get gray?
Maybe get lambert into the mids by trading so then I can switch deledio onto the mids bench?any dpp rookies that I don't have that are worth getting?

I've decided to use a trade, Lycett to Walker, with his easy draw up to Round 8, Thoughts?
