Moscow respond against London

The Spetsnaz had to bounce back from the disappointment of last week, and they did just that. The Spetsnaz didn't seem challenged by the disappointing Royals, whom lacked star power this week.

Buenos Aires too punctual for New Delhi

^^ see what I did there? If not, New Delhi continued to struggle for numbers this week, only having 13 players turning up. One ponders had they had their best XV available, would they have beaten the Dillos? Nonetheless, Buenos Aires had the depth this week, and got the job the done.

Pacific's new found class puts down disappointing Jaguars

Like Beijing, I've had my eye on Pacific this year, and I'm also dubbing them finals contenders this year. They have the midfield star power and solidity at either end to be a genuine force, and this showed against the 2-game old Jaguars. Like the AFL Gold Coast Suns of old, Rio are struggling without the form of Captain Gary Ablett, and find themselves 0-2, after fancying themselves for a 2-0 start at the beginning of the year.

Pacific Islanders (23.10.148) def Rio de Janeiro Jaguars (21.8.134)

PNL in an ugly affair

PNL were certainly not impressive, but after infamously being valiant in defeat, I don't think they care anymore as long as they get the win. In the end, it was the Saints' bookends which collapsed, allowing PNL to take the win with a below-average performance.

PNL Reindeers (20.9.129) def Christchurch Saints (19.8.122)

Best
PNL: Matt Priddis, Dylan Shiel, Daniel Rich, Cyril Rioli

Seoul Showing, Cairo heart-break

Seoul has defeated the Sands with the assistance of the crowd and a rested Dangerfield, marking two matches already decided by HGA this year! To be precise, Seoul won by 16 points, and certainly felt better having an 11 extra points from lone-centurion and Captain Dangerfields' rest bonus. Although Cairo had 4 centurions, it had 8 players score less than 75 and that was ultimately what cost them the match. Co-Captain Dayne Beams would be receiving some stern words from the coaches I feel.

Seoul Magpies (20.8.128) def Cairo Sands (20.6.126)

Tokyo has Eclipsed the Suns!

I called it! But I didn't think the Suns would struggle this badly without a quartet of noticeable absentees. Nonetheless, Tokyo were very impressive with a deserving 16 (155) point win. But perhaps the most impressive stat to come out of Tokyo's performance, was that it's home advantage was an amazing 62 points, symbolising their all-round consistent performance.

Tokyo Samurai (23.10.148) def Mexico City Suns (21.6.132)

The lads told me to make Prestia C, but I wanted to keep the CC combo from last week.

Backed in my boy Mummy, but in the end decided to make Prestia CC with him... but didn't actually make the change because I forgot. Also elected to play Laidler over Stratton this week. Those two changes would have got us a win, even one would have.

Left to rue what could have been.  :-X
