I don't like the unpredictable form of rookies so have chosen to field a 22 year old beast in the midfield and loophole the D6 every week.

Solid start scoring 2194 in Rd 1 to be 1644th overall

Griff scoring 70 from a 5 kick, 10 handball game wasn't the end of the world. I'll stick with him and fully expect some 170's at some point.

Pretty peeved that McGinnity is a dribbler who went to BOB which made him the lowest scorer in the team. Hopefully Morris stays away this week, but I don't like the chances of that happening. He's due for his shoulder to slip out of the socket, surely!

Bully

Totally unique team which is good to see, well done on sticking your neck out with a few potential breakout candidates, Bonts and Wallis could be very astute picks.

Jeffy could be a really good pick up. I had him in a couple of my drafts as a stepping stone but didn't end up going with him. Adams is another that I picked in my draft team. I thought he might be too pricey for a stepping stone and his disposal might stop him from being a keeper. He was the guy I saw stepping into that Luke Ball role though

YoungGun

Some many midpricers/breakouts and so far so good! Great round 1 score. Will be interesting to see how these picks work out. I like it

My Chumps

Bad-mouthed Newnes and Swan all preseason but they end up in your team... classic meow.

Steven, Judd, Garlett, Adams, Wallis and the Bont are some inspired choices.

How'd you end up this week, meow?

Let's just say the team lived up to the name of this thread!

2045. Down to 13,982 in the rankings. The forward line was sickening, and Hodge and Jack Steven need to learn how to kick!

I was going to trade GAJ to JPK and Goodes to Geary but didn't want to jump the gun in case Belly was a late out, so I didn't trade at all. Was going to go Goodes to Oxley (would have been on bench anyway so I'm not too annoyed) then keep the cash for a Belly upgrade but the gf wanted a bit of ;) in the morning and didn't have the time to do anything but move Goodes to the bench. Not having Hogan looks to be a mistake that I'll fix this week. But then there's Belly and Goodes too. I didn't have Ablett in my plans all preseason and was going to go with JPK instead but the fear of GAJ going HUGE swayed me so I decided on GAJ and Garlett instead of JPK and Josh Kelly. Looks like a big mistake since Ablett is way off his best and won't get back any time soon by the looks of it. Decisions, decisions.

Sort your priorities out m8

Glad I've avoided the GAJ scenario. At least you've hit a flowering winner with the Bont, and you did a reasonable job scaring everyone else off him.

Nah, I should have trusted my own advice and not picked him. Same as GAJ. They'll both be making their way out of my team this week. Got lots of ideas floating around my head. Adams into the mids for a premo forward, then Goodes to Harry Taylor is the most likely outcome.

Friday night: traded GAJ and Adams to Zorko up forward, and JZ in the mids so I could swing Bont into the mids and cover him with CEY as emergency in case he's a late out.

Then I remembered that Bont is a machine and it'll take more than an itchy calf to keep him out so I reversed the trades. Grabbed Shiel instead of JZ since he should be good for 100 and his price rise will see him be able to be traded to JPK. Shiel's spud score isn't ideal but it could have been worse!

Round 3

Trades: GAJ and Adams for Shiel and Zorko
Score: 2042
Ranking: 17,865

Disgusting. No Bont meant I got Lonie's score (37), Wallis with an injury (15), Shiel (52) and Mummy (61) were disgraceful. Midfield rookies are all performing well so there's plenty of cash on the way but I probably should have gone with one less premo mid (Griff) and spent that money elsewhere. Jezza hasn't performed as expected and he could have been Buddy if I had more faith in the mid rooks.
At least Beams had a decent match as captain.

It's a sad state of affairs when I would have been better off doing the JZ trade even though he scored just 4 points! JZ + CEY (104) vs Shiel (51) and Lonie (37).
