Chapman, Cooney, Fletcher, Zaharakis all listed as tests for this week Zaharakis looking likely to miss but if we can get all of the first 3 in the side is looking pretty good you would think we will get at least 2 of Chappy, Cooney and Fletcher in

I'd still really like to try out a secondary ruckman as a dynamic, and the fact they rested mkernan for the last quarter on sunday makes me think they're thinking about it.

Lads, whats up with Zaharakis? Averaged 96 last season but he's seriously struggling this year. Is it the knee? Different role? With your high-possie gamestyle you'd think he'd be getting more of it.

showerhouse form

27 in the first quarter against Freo and then finished on 45. Couldn't believe it :s

"Zaharakis suffered the complaint in last week's loss to Fremantle and although at first he was able to push on, he finished the game on the bench."

I guess that answers your question

i also want to see this but i think Ambrose has to be the one to go for McKernan or Giles

Ambrose just isnt reliable enough to kick a goal or 2 each week and i think Giles would be

The thing is with Ambrose, he's been the one taking contested marks on the wing when it should be Carlisle or Daniher.

I think Ambrose is if not leading, right near the top in tackling too. Yes he needs to start kicking goals, but he's probably been the most consistant forward in the team. (Taking out the whole kicking goals thing because no one can at the moment)

He's out with an ankle this week. He had a problem with a knee a couple of weeks ago and i can tell it was troubling him.

kilbluff1985

but with Giles in the team Joe could stay forward more where he belongs at this stage and he gets beaten in the ruck to easily being so young so i feel we will win more clearances with Giles and since Joe can stay forward and i feel Giles is more dangerous up forward then Ambrose i think we will kick more goals also

Everyone's saying Carlisle isn't going to play, looks like I'll get my wish

I reckon McKernan did enough to keep his spot and maybe play the Ambrose role, high half forward target and can take a grab, probably more of a goal threat too and can do a better pinch hit in the ruck.

don't know who could be Browne or Pears as i don't think Kommer and Licha are fit yet

Would love to Pears in the team as we know how good he could be. Browne is a good talent too.

If Pears comes in, does Hurley play forward? He is in All-Australian form at the moment as a defender, but with no target to break packs and really do much as a forward could he be the one to be that man?

Yes, Carlisle and Daniher have kicked goals, but when Daniher has 3 handballs and 0 kicks against a St.Kilda outfit and when Carlisle kicks 3 of his 4 goals from ground level in the same game, i wouldn't put it past Hird to try Hurley forward.

Only if it is Pears who comes in.

You're forgetting Pears has been playing up forward in the VFL

You're also forgetting Danaher is leading our marks inside 50 and goal scoring.

Although Ambrose does so much hard work around the ground, can you really have a third tall up forward scoring less than one goal a match. Lets hope he can continue to up his goal count

silloc

Actually, alex browne don't know how he missed a BOG mention. 1.1, 29 disposals, 75% efficiency, 16 marks. must have been kicking sideways

Toga

Has Pears been playing well in the VFL?
