starting to think we might rest Chappy and have him fresh for ANZAC Day

so Dempsey in for him i would say

and think we might leave Fletch out also for same reason

No we do not need Chappy to be rested at all KB.
Wash your mouth out :P

Has Melksham finally made the step up from fringe player to genuine midfielder or has he just had a couple of decent games only to fade away again?

either is possible

No, I believe he was always in Hird's best 22 as a run with player. he was in our best 22 by the end of 2013 also.

Bomber had him in a different role, didn't work

Ricochet

Interesting stat on him

mid time this year / last year
95% compared to 49%

Who will come in for coon-dog? will Dempsey walk straight in?? I'd prefer Hams, but if they do have Dempsey they better start him as sub

Jukes

I wouldn't mind seeing Langford or Laverde come in for their debut on ANZAC day :3 but yeah Dempsey or Hams (who was awesome in the VFL yesterday) would be the logical option, or maybe Jacko Merrett (26 touches, 7 marks, 3 tackles).

Southstorm

Jacko Merrett or Dempsey are probably the best replacements for Cooney, not sure who comes in for Zakka though. Must be Hams.

no reason both Merrett and Dempsey cant come in for Cooney and Zaha

i think it's the best move

Two best on ground performances from Hams by a country mile apparently, hard to look past

I actually liked the look of Langford....   wasn't a fan with the selection at the draft. But his ability to find space is something we severely lack in our fwd line.

Do we reckon Joey might have a rest in the VFL this week?

Joey > Giles?

Probably not for Freo, but Id like Hirdy to give Langford a bit more TOG. Apart from his nerves at kicking, didn't look out of place at AFL level at all.

How long on Cooney and Chappy?

Joey is still our highest goal scorer, you don't rest a kid because he has one off game. I would have given him more time in the middle, and would like to see that happen if he is quiet like that again. he might not beat out the other ruckman, but his athleticism could provide some decent follow up work.

Giles and mckernan aren't a chance. You get smashed by spencer and maxy gawn, the only way you're getting a game is if daniher breaks a leg. Even then he might be more useful on crutches
