Kommer is moving in the right direction completing some hill sprints at training today

Kavanagh is a chance to come in for Myers had a great game in the reserves and McKenna kicked 3 goals

silloc

Kav probably the obvious choice, unless they want to match hawks outside run.

Good read, written before the hawks win too

That was a good read. I actually have noticed quite a few people/commentators all of a sudden saying Essendon are a decent team now that this ASADA thing has been dealt a severe blow. How long do ASADA have left to appeal? Isn't that up this weekend?

I think a lot of people underestimated Essendon, but at the same time over sold Hawthorn.

Being said to give them the premiership right now, to be able to go through this season undefeated after beating a Geelong who obviously isn't the same team as previous years.

Essendon have been a good side the last 3-4 years, the fresh bodies then fatigued late in the season. I'm not saying we're a contender to win the premiership. But i can tell this year is different with the experience of Goddard, Cooney, Chapman coming in and the emergence of those 4th, 5th, 6th year players.

It's just a matter of finding someone who can give us 50-60 goals this year to be a chance.

Exciting times.

He has the ability too, but i'm not counting on a third year player to be a dominant key forward this year.

Yeah i think he's still a couple of years away. Needs to add more weight to be able to contest with the best defenders in the comp.

Also think we might need another ruckman so he can stay forward to kick 3 a game.

silloc

yeah I'd back that up about joe.

Calling it now, Joes highest goal score this week against blues. 6 goals is my prediction.

I feel like he has gotten used to not being able to compete body on body, he just uses his height now gets a run and leaps at the ball

silloc

He also has no problem running with the flight of the ball

kilbluff1985

starting to think we might rest Chappy and have him fresh for ANZAC Day

so Dempsey in for him i would say

and think we might leave Fletch out also for same reason

If we're gonna rest them against carlton, flower playing gwilt and dempsy. Put in some Steinberg, Merret, hams, delgleish, kids.

If we rest Chappy i would like to see Laverde put in the team.

Dempsey may come in for Gwilt but so could Fletcher.

This year we don't really need to rest players with ANZAC Day being on the Saturday afternoon, so there's no short turn around or anything. So maybe the older players like Fletch and Chappy might miss this week but i don't see anything like that happening.
