This will be the first time I haven't traded for round 2 for years I think

Gigantor

Not really a correctional trade but merely on terms of who I think will get more points.
I was fearful there was no good defensive rookies so I brought in Lumumba & Goodes to make it look stronger... only to have McIntosh & Saad do very well.
Currently:
Simpson, Smith, Shaw, Newnes, Lumumba, Goodes (McIntosh, N. Brown)
Ablett, Pendles, Fyfe, Selwood, Cripps, Heeney, Vanderberg, (Anderson, Ellis-Yeomen, Saad).

Thoughts are to move Saad back into defence and trade either Lumumba/Newnes to Rich. If anything the midfield rookies weren't great so rather strengthen that line.

What are people's thoughts? I want to do it this week so I can have 2 trades next week before price rises.

Or should i go Hibberd to Simpson or both? thoughts would be great

Depending on whos named and rookies etc. I'm going Rocky+Cripps > Tex + Rich. Already got Wells wish he was Rich but if North come good so will he.

Gives me 150 K in the bank and have most rookies e.g Vanenberg,Heeney,Saad,Cockatoo,Oxley,Hogan,Clark,Lamb,McIntosh,Brown so if Rich and Tex have the seasons I expect then 2 corrective trades well spent.

Thoughts?

For cash generation it looks fine but those two aren't keepers so you are just committing to more trades. What about Rocky to Danger and then use the savings to try and get Salem up to Tex, that makes more sense as I think Rich will still average around the 90 mark.

I like this one, but wait a week at least.

Show some faith in Hibberd.  He'll be right.  Limited pre-season means he'll start a little slow.

As a general rule of thumb, never trade out a premo unless it's for injuries.  Form is temporary, class is permanent blah blah.

Essendon also played in terrible conditions, a greasy ball is a nightmare for rebounding defenders.

Well Tex could be a keeper and Rich will make 150 K. I f Rocky is out he could score even better IMO. I haven't got Salem??
It depends on Cripps being dropped or improving and rookies as well. Aggressive trading early can pay off. I love starting a nest egg ASAP

I doubt Cripps will be dropped, not a lot to replace him with at Carlton.

I like the idea of Tex, soft draw, could easily go 115+ to the bye, but also could throw in 50's.

With Rocky out, as well as Hanley, teams will surely put more pressure with the forward tagger going to Rich.

Its high risk for high reward, but could well be worth it.

Tex may average 100 by the end of the year, but you're missing out on the 177 that tugged the average up to that point.

On the flip side, Goddard will average 100 by end of year - if he throws in another 60 this week you're likely to actually buy the points that will earn him that 100 average.

Chasing points that have already been scored is a mug's game.

Like all the rage trades suggested - With Sidey confirmed as 2 months he will be my only trade this week and will be deciding on who later in the week.

Remember we only have 30 trades and the use of them is how to get up the ladder, Corrective trades can be done next week after observing them for a second week. (Who knows what some may do next week.) Even if they get dropped and you still have a playing emergency you can hold and then in a further 2 weeks downgrade to a performing rookie on the bubble.

I'm a football (goalkeeper) and I can't even imagine a 2 month thumb injury. The really bad ones you get a pin inserted and it's usable.

He must have done a frigging good job on that poor digit!!!
