Ruckmen scoring low! Perhaps it's not a good idea to outlay 600k+ for Jacobs etc

The new rules are definitely having an impact. I guess the 'rule makers' saw the kind of score Mummy was getting last year through sheer number of hit outs and tackles and wanted to quell things.

Goldy played what I'd consider to be a 120+ game for him and Maric did enough for 100 sc. Ruck scores are going to be down 15-20 points it seems.
Those who have two high premos should consider a trade, particularly if they can do something like goldy to belcho, cripps to premo.
You'll lose 10-15 points but gain up to 30-40.

I think nicnat will hold his price but anyone above that may struggle.
Trading healthy players after R1 has never been an ideal strategy but  this may be an exception.

If you only ever picked "undervalued" players you'd start the year with 24 rooks, $3 million in the bank  and your captain would be Rich.

And you still would have outscored me last week.

Trading down from a premo to a midpricer is utter madness.  You're just going to trade them back in 10 rounds time for 100k less.

Ive got Maric and was really disappointed with his score, I thought it was a ton for sure. im a littler perplexed as to what to do with him? just stick it out and take what he pumps out?

Im a bit worried to be honest. This was the first year in a while ive gone for safety in the rucks and im now second guessing it. I went Mummy and Goldy and the fact that i thought both would go 110+ and basically add a 9th and 10th mid premium to my side. But off last week, its got me worried that 100 might just be their averages instead. They scored 100 and 98 last week in games you'd usually have at more like 120-130 scored from so i'll have to access again after the second game this week and then decide

The thing is though if you pay for junk rucks do you just get really bad scores of 50-70 instead of average scores of 70-90 ave? If Premos are going from 110+ to 100 surely the average ones drop further as well? Therefore you get a good investment even though its not true premo scores.

Personally I'm no overly worried. I paid a good price for Mummy and Maric and I expect I'll be rewarded for it. One game isn't exactly cause to freak out. As has been said, we were warned about the changes but I think we're all in a little shock as to how 'badly' our beloved choices were affected.

Maric scored 82 with terrible HTA numbers and probably could have done a bit more vs Carlton, I personally thought Wood was as good as Maric was so he didn't do great. But yeah, I expect Maric to have a better game against the Dogs tomorrow and score high 90s or even ton up.

Mummy scored 98. Consider what we paid for him and what he could/should have scored, I'm not too fussed. It's very unlike the big fella to not have a tackle. Averages 4.5 a game usually so if he got that he'd have easily tonned. He also had a decent number of hitouts sharked so if those went to teammates, we wouldn't be upset.

Fairly confident both will score 100s this week, if they don't, I still won't freak out. I like to back in my boys.

I think this is a little bit off. The confusion lies in the competition's leading TA ruck getting towled by a uniform field of 90-100 scorers. And a fair bit of that confusion is part one-game-itis, part opinion that his taps jammed straight down the throats of a midfield that slaughtered their opposition.

There was a lot of doom and gloom about rucks because of the scoring changes just looked to bring one of the previous posts saying that up but they have disappeared .... spooky stuff , cmon members you know who you are with five games to go please explain this run 100+ run of scores  ::)
