Ruckmen scoring low! Perhaps it's not a good idea to outlay 600k+ for Jacobs etc

On the weekend Mummy had a huge 17 HOTA amongst his 36.

Last year: 36 + 34 = 70
What he was meant to score under the new rules: 85
What they gave him instead: 68

His 98 point game should have been a 115 game. That's what I paid for.

Watching the live scoring, the rucks are only getting +3 or +4 for a HOTA. Bellchambers had 15 HOTA on the weekend which should have given him 75 points from hitouts alone. We have been deceived!

Surely not? I paid top dollar too. If this is correct mate then its bullshower

If this is true surely we can spam the heraldsun sc / twitter or something bcoz i thought exactly the same thing,
they wern't getting rewarded. I started r1 Mummy and r2 Belly for their HOTA and got f'd on.

It's true alright ... Mummy owned them in the Ruck ... He was clearly winning the taps practically 3 out of every 4 times and 2 of those 3 were to advantage ... I was surprised he didn't have a 120 game

I think rucks are really  going to struggle to get 100+

So if you had
Goldy and n nat
Who would you downgrade to Luey? Lol

Gigantor

I don't think NicNat is a problem, he is priced in the low 90's so he wont go down in price.
Goldy is on the cusp but I don't think he will drop much 30-40k max
Mummy, Sauce, 211 and SMartin are the ones that could potentially drop a lot.

G'day fellas. I am thinking that because of the new rule change I can go Maric > Luenberger/Bellcho (thoughts?) and pocket 250k to then go salem > Lewis next week. I feel the ruckmen will bleed cash and jacobs (even though he didnt play poorly, scored poorly) could be an easy UG target for just 50-100k. I would love your thoughts on this structural change and i would like your thoughts on whether it is worth it to get another premo in already.

Glad I went cheapish in NN/TBC.

Really want to see who falls in price/who looks to be the number 1 SC ruck and jump on them with NicNat R2.

Belly looks good, too :)

Jimmykidd

got goldy and nic nat. was pretty happy with them. nic nat wont drop and goldy wont drop much to really warrant trading him. goldy to leuy COULD work and id upgrade on another line, but ill wait to see what happens with ruck scores next week.

batt

The rucks have reclaimed the #1 spot for most annoying line in SC.  And to think we were all worried about backs...

Goldy had 12, which should have netted him 60 points but he would have been given only 48, which fits perfectly with my example in the earlier post, give or take a few points. Should have been a 110-112 point game instead of 100.

So we are all saying the rucks are getting stung and we shouldnt be spending money on them, I think you still need to spend the big $$ because if you have junk rucks you will be getting incredibly putrid scores rather than 90-100 for quality rucks.

However, my budget rucks Leuey and TBC, scored me 178 points for a total spend of 660K and most peoples "set n forget" rucks cost 1.1 - 1.2 million and only one of them "Goldy" scored a ton. So no putrid scores here buddy. The set n forget camp is ferral though.

Bully

I have a feeling one of the best buys this year will be Kreuzer, hopefully he's back in round 6 and a straight swap with Hogan is on the cards. The reasons for my confidence are obvious, he dominates around the ground and plays like a midfielder, he will also chime in with a few HOTA. He's apparently 2 weeks away so will be on the bubble after 3-4 price rises, perfect timing particularly if you have Belly at R2.

Speaking of a ruck playing like a mid, Gorringe sure snuck under the radar...

Hey mate, where did u hear 2 weeks? Reason is I heard that his injury is more dire than the club is letting on. I'm trying to see who's source is more reliable!

AFL website which was updated today, have been keeping tabs and his expected return has been fairly consistent.

Ok, I missed that update. Probably more reliable than what rumour I heard

As much as our ruck stocks suck I don't think they can trust Kreuzers body this year. I am expecting him to come in and play forward when he is ready to go as they can manage his load a bit easier. If he does start rucking it might be at the back end of the season if he is over the foot issues

Spotted gum

Anyone thinking Blicavs could become an option? Cheep and is starting to win the footy. Not only playing as a ruckman but as a half back and sometimes even up on a wing. I have spent so much on mummy godly combo and if thi ha don't change this week am thinking of swapping to Blicavs belly and pocketing plenty to bolster other positions
