Ruckmen scoring low! Perhaps it's not a good idea to outlay 600k+ for Jacobs etc

Goldy's had a huge third quarter so far, 6 hit outs to advantage, few possies and a monster mark, wonder if it'll trabslate to points.

Would be nice if he could snag a couple!

In addition to that, we were all clearly informed of the changes to ruck, so it really shouldn't be as much of a surprise, but I do get it. When I see how much NicNat and Mummy influenced their respective matches and didn't even ton up, it does feel a little wrong, but at least its consistent

We just thought the top end rucks would benefit and go higher. Instead it's flattened out the field big time.

None of the top rucks had a HTA % over 33% though, why would you think they'd go up? Jacobs had 32% I think, and he was the highest. Basically everyone knew the rucks would take a hit, but also shouldn't be judged off one game. North got spanked today, think Goldy would get a couple more hitouts to advantage in most games. Maric had a shower HTA % (12% was it?). Didn't pay attention to many others.

See how they all go next week and then make a decision.

Speaking of Rucks. Anyone considering chucking ryder in the forward line tonight? Especially now lobbe is out. Solo Rucking........... I know i shouldn't mess up my structures but its tempting.

Might leave it alone given how poorly rucks have played so far.

Goldy got 100

Had the game been closer probably would have been scaled up a tad more.

Still, that probably would've been around 130 last year

Jacobs had a better game than that also

This actually hurts had obrien In as captain using the loophole and forgot to have Goldstein as an emergency on the bench.   :-[

Jacobs 73.

If CD/VS think Goldy had that much more influence on the game then there's no hope

VS were very very clear what the changes were going to be this year, we had plenty of time to decide if that affected our ruck picks. 100 from Goldy after he averaged 105 last year is expected

Remember though jorth got killed and he top scored from north.

And people thought defense would be low scoring line in SC.  Next year ruck prices will enable people to invest more money in the midfield.

I spent less than 800k in the rucks this year, about right for the type of returns I'm getting. The midfield was always the priority, get that sorted and let the dust settle on the other lines.
