does Bird come in ?
Lloyd looked lost at bit out there on the weekend and against the cats
Grundy stood up at the back but is no good when the ball is on the ground. In saying that though that isnt his job

Robinson any good guys? we really need a couple rookies to do well this weekend lease a few were named

Yeah I rate him pretty highly. He was in the best 5 for pretty much the majority of NEAFL games last year.

Don't think he's much chance of avoiding the vest though and I reckon one of Lloyd or Bird will take his spot soon

Well it was a game, not a whole lot of analysis really except we know Goodes can dance now. Center bounce work was very average as well considering we weren't against quality.

Robinson did ok, floated in and out a bit and looked good when he was in. Hopefully McVeigh and Hannebery are all good for the trip to Gold Coast

You cant really take anything from a game that Shaw scores 106 points from.

Will be interesting to see if Robbo keeps his place with Macca's calf strain

Tippett is fine. In 2013 he was leading goals per game for the majority of the year at over 3 and finished 3rd and he was in the top 10 for contested marks. Last year he was in the top 10 for goals per game too.

In fact from the 2012 GF until Hawthorn at the MCG the only games we lost were games where Tippett was either inured or not playing. He obviously was worth the pay packet.

Skill isn't an issue for him. He's still an elite tall forward, the difference is he gets significantly less one on ones inside 50 as it almost always gos towards Franklin for 80% of the match. Tippett's role now is to create advantageous contests on the wing and outside forward 50 while also doubling into the 50 as a target and pinch hitting in the ruck. When he gets given space and contests inside 50, he generally excels. He's shown than vs. all the good teams.

Wayne Carey shows once again why he sees everything in black and white, one of the worst analysts in AFL at the moment to be honest.

It seems that they didnt like what i posted about the article.

oh well

When Tippett becomes a waste of money is when he's out injured, but this year he's set for 40+ goals which is fine
