2015 Eliminator

We will be running The Eliminator over the course of the season in a different format from last season. Team scores from the home and away season will be used in a ladder based solely on points with no HGA given, at the end of every 2 rounds the lowest scoring team will be eliminated. Scoring will start again after every elimination so teams will start even at the beginning of every round. The byes will be 1 round together as some teams may be affected more than others during certain rounds. At the end of 23 rounds we will crown our Eliminator Champion!
The format will be as follows:
12 players start,
Week 2: 1 out 11 players left
Week 4: 1 out 10 players left
Week 6: 1 out 9 players left
Week 8: 1 out 8 players left
Week 10: 1 out 7 players left
Week 13 1 out 6 players left
Week 15: 1 out 5 players left
Week 17: 1 out 4 players left
Week 19: 1 out 3 players left
Week 21: 1 out 2 players left
Week 23: Winner!

Aha yes indeed. I'll have to make everyone aware of this. We'll have the bye comp running at the same time so coaches will still need to keep track of teams/byes/players and post their selections for their All Star team that week as well as posting their teams for the Eliminator.
I've tried to keep this comp active over the byes because last year, the round after the byes, about 6 teams didn't post and a couple of coaches went awol and had to be replaced. I hope we don't have a repeat this year (although we got rid of most of the annoying coaches now...most of them lol) :P

Well there goes me, out before the byes. I was hoping to hold on til then but a few inconsistent players and shuffling the deck around left me a couple of hundred points down in the end. :(

Ah just after you post...we've decided to do just XVIII for the byes to make it a little more even, hopefully no team will suffer from 0's this way. So only 15 players in the usual positions (1 less defender, 1 less midfielder, 1 less forward) and 3 subs from any position per round.

Teams must be named in the following format:

Captain: Player name
Vice Captain: Player name
Deputy Vice Captain: Player name

Backs: DEF, DEF, DEF, - Three starting defenders
Mids: MID, MID, MID, MID, MID, - Five starting midfielders
Ruck: RUC - One starting ruck
Forwards: FWD, FWD, FWD, - Three starting forwards
Utilities: UTI, UTI, UTI, - Three starting utilities (These can be players from any position)
Interchange: SUB1 SUB2 SUB3 -   YOU DON'T NEED TO SPECIFY POSITIONS, SUBS WILL REPLACE LATE WITHDRAWALS WITH FULL POINTS.
