Accidentally posted this in 'Rate My Supercoach' so it's in two places now. Poll up over there.Oh well......

Time to shore up my side. $167,000 in the bank. Is Swan a must?

Simmo, Newnes, Lamumba, Ibbo, Goodes, Saad (McIntosh, Brown)

Gaz, Pendles, Fyfe, Ward, Wells, Cripps, Heeney, Vberg (Cocky, CEY, Miller)

Gray, Bartel, Dusty, Salem, Clarke, Lamb (Hogan, Tarrant)

Some options.

-upgrade Wells to Swan and move Swan fwd later. Cocky to Newton. $26,000ish in bank.
-Bartel to Swan, Wells to Danger. Cocky to Newton. $7,000ish in bank.
-stick with Wells, stregnthen back line. No Swan.

Option two looks best and will probably get the most votes, but everyone's teams are so similar this year, trying to come up with something a bit different. Amy other ideas? Keep Cocky and wait to see which high priced rookies perform?

Brown to Oxley can give you $$$

Yeah, I'm considering that and a few other rookie trades. Will Griffens back hold up? Hmm...

This is a good question i would like answered, i'm considering starting gray over swan but affraid l'll miss out on a bargin.

To answer your question no eye deer i wouldn't start swan in the mids waste of a mid spot

I really don't subscribe to this theory, it assumes they will be there all year. When a forward rookie is ripe just swing Swan back into the forwards, the absence of any great midfield rookies makes this a viable alternative.

I don't think he is a must to be honest. If we are looking at guys in the midfield I would prefer Jack Steven

This is exactly my way of thinking.

I've been off him all pre season, just not sure how interested he is in footy now, especially with the Pies on the slide. I'm just scared he will come out and prove me wrong! It's a big decision, as it will be the difference between a break on 90% of people or falling behind everyone. I think I will go with my gut and leave him out.

He's only a must if you think he's going to be in the top 6 best forwards. If not, you're picking him for value, and there's better value picks around so in that case he wouldn't be a must.
