Filling my last forward line position is doing my head in! What's the general consensus on Lycett as a forward option? No Cox this year so I would think this would help his scores? Dual position player as well so gives an added bonus of ruck cover. I really feel this could be his year of 100+

LF

nope did not show enough yet to convince me he will score well enough at the price he is at

TexR74

Hush hush, he's my POD, will do well.

Mondoftw

I also have nic nat at R2 which is also a reason why I'm hesitant going Lycett as well....

Isn't Lycett a back-up for Nic-Nat ? So if Nic goes down and u already have Lycett... Don't see that having both is such a bad thing

Woppa15

If you hunt arounds the forums Lycett has already been covered. Can't remember where it is though sorry. There's a few on hear that aren't gonna like me saying this haha but in the past when Cox was out and Nic Nat and Lycett were tag teaming he actually scored really well, R/F too. He just seems to have fallen in Bellys shadow at this stage.

Mondoftw

Yes but having 2 players from the same team in a similar role I'm questioning atm

Jroo

If Nic Nat was out then I'd lock him in.

Ricochet

He'd need to average close to 105+ just to be worth it, anything less and you'll need to upgrade him anyway. I'd stay away

It's not a bad thing at all ubeaut.  You are correct in saying that you can play both.

Last year Dean Cox didn't play rounds 13, 14, 17, 19, and 23.  In that time NicNat and Lycett both played.

NicNat scored 142, 95, 86, 133, and 145.  Average 120
Lycett scored 104, 89, 117, 68, and 108.  Average 97

Pretty small sample size, but those scores are eye opening. Got to consider opportunity cost of having Lycett's 100 odd (Assuming he continues this average) against having a Swan/Bennell type who have much greater ceilings

Mondoftw

Really regretting picking him for ruck cover. Can anyone see him improving at all? High score of 96 and 2 very low scores. Hold or trade?

Trade

If you want cover, Belly will do the same for 100k cheaper. If you have Belly too, then turn Lycett into a forward premium

TexR74

Got rid of him for Tex after the first round, slightly regretting the choice however. But his draw is easy and he'll bounce back.

I hope
