Squad just announced

Michael Clarke (capt), Steve Smith (vice-capt), Fawad Ahmed, Brad Haddin, Josh Hazlewood, Ryan Harris, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Lyon, Shaun Marsh, Mitchell Marsh, Peter Nevill, Chris Rogers, Peter Siddle, Mitchell Starc, Adam Voges, David Warner, Shane Watson.

Looks like Peter Nevill is heir apparent to Brad Haddin.

Grand Final form means a lot with Ahmed, Voges and Shaun Marsh included.  With the inclusion of Ahmed surely this is Lyons last chance.

Ryan Harris will only tour Ashes,

Unlucky players as I see it Faulkner and Lynn

Agar v Ahmed would have been a decision they would have made.  Both bowled well during shield season - I reckon the variety of a leg spinner made the difference

Behrendorf is unlucky and I believe he would have been picked if he wasnt injured.

Why would it be Lyon's last chance? Didn't he do really well against India? And not surprised with Faulkner not making the squad, still don't know if he's god enough for the test squad. His variety with the bowl is incredibly valuable in ODIs, but not so much in tests.

Siddle and Harris interesting picks. Nagging injury doubts always there. Hope they can both fire though   :)

Where is Joe Burns and Chris Lynn? Better picks than Siddle and SMarsh

Maxwell should have got a look in as well.

No pressure at all at this stage on Lyon. Bowled brilliantly against India

Marsh had a higher average and hit more tons than Burns in Shield Cricket, which is probably why he was picked over Burns.

Apart from one score of 250, Lynn only hit 2 other 50's for the rest of the summer in Shield Cricket.

And out of all the fast bowlers only Fekete, Rimmington and Hopes took more wickets than Siddle in Shield Cricket. Had to be picked and should have got a CA contract.

Not really no

Always been a huge fan of Vogas just like Dave Hussey, Brad Hodge and Cam White

Finally players are being rewarded for playing good at Sheffield shield level, I just feel like it took way to long and feel for the blokes I mentioned before as they dominated the Sheffield shield game in their prime
