Jay just looking for a bit of advice on fielding rookies

Ox vs Saad vs McIntosh

For start 2 I have benched McIntosh and gone the others. My reason for that is while McIntosh has high possession numbers, his disposal has been a let down which has resulted in sub par SC scores the last couple. Saad has been super consistent and Ox has been excellent the last two weeks. I think while McIntosh could have the highest ceiling if he gets his disposal right, Saad and Ox have the higher floor. Do you agree and what would you do?

Start 3 of NVB, Cripps, CEY, Heeney, Vanders

I think Heeney against the Dockers is a risk so he is out of consideration for me. CEY has the best average of the lot so I think he also has to be a certain starter, Cripps will get a lot of time in the guts against the Saints with no Judd and Murph carrying a knee injury. NVB vs Vanders is what I am trying to decide and I am leaning towards Vanders but it seems crazy to bench NVB. By playing Vanders it allows me to have a safety if CEY is the sub (which I doubt), it is probably the only one I can't decide on

I would say vanders. For the defence, I think Saad and McIntosh. I know it was rd 1 but that capability of a 31 still worries me (that is why I have a loophole option). Best of Luck

Vanderberg vs Rich or Heeny vs Freo?

He was subbed off with cramp and scored something ridiculous in the first quarter. I can see why most would be hesitant though

FF says he got subbed out in the 3rd quarter. Did he cramp up before HT or after? I didn't see the game and considering starting Ox over KMac, for the same reason that you've already said, doesn't use the ball all that well.

Minson has been dropped for Ayce cordy who had a quality 2-3 disposals ;) Just wondering if you would trade him for Nit Nat because i believe he either has an Injury that they are trying to hide or they're going to bring him in at the last minute? thanks!

He scored 25 or 27 in the first quarter and then struggled after that. He was subbed out in the 3rd but it wouldn't surprise me if he was cramping earlier and they were just trying to get as many minutes as possible out of him

What do you think I should do with goodes and lamb?
Up to you whether you rate having a loophole option over cash generation.

But I'd look to move on both. Neither going to get you points or cash

HotTiges

need to nail a win in a league so thinking Bellcho will struggle against the pies in the wet and maybe Bont will flourish at Etihad on sunday.. what do we reckon?

Sorry mate, just saw this. Hope you benched Macca and started Vanders!

Mat0369

I did the first, switched Vanders off at the last minute which I am regretting now

Yeah Id grab Nic Nat mate. Presuming you don't already have Goldy, or can't afford him?

Hey jayman.
Would love ur opinion on the following trade ideas
Looking to trade out R griffen move C Pearce into mids bench for a week and jump on oxley.
With the cash I will upgr sexton to bonti in fwds.

Then next week trade out goodes, move Pearce back to def and get krak. This will also give me m/f link.

Is it worth getting rid of griffen to get the other trades done?

Def: h Shaw Simpson newnes saad McIntosh Pearce goodes n brown
M : sloane pendles jpk danger rich. And all the good rooks
F: gray dusty swan Salem Clark lonie sexton lamb

Great thread thanks for ur input mate!
I'd hold Griffen mate, he's going to be a rollercoaster but he'd bound to pump out some big scores soon.

All I'd do this week is Pearce --> Oxley and then re-assess next round.
I'll miss out on bonti if i don't do the griffen trade and I'm thinking he is a pretty good get atm.
Don't really need to get rid of griffen but he's the only way to get cash to upgr sexton to bonti.
When my rook mids fatten I can then get in the super premo mids ( and prob not griffen). Mids rooks can score as well as griffen so won't lose much points there, but sexton and bonti and miles of points apart.
Sound logic u reckon?  Or wasting trades mate ?
Hmmm tough one but I'd still lean towards keeping Griff, even if that means missing out no Bont.

He averaged 80 last year if you take out his sub game - its very rare a player jumps his average up 15ppg in his second season. Which is what he roughly needs to do to become a keeper.
Thanks jayyyyyyy.
