Hi Jay

Who would you play out of this lot for this weekend?

B: B. Smith - Hodge - Lumumba - Newnes - Hurn - KDJ  (McIntosh - Oxley)
M: Pendles - Rich - Gibbs - D. Martin - A. Saad - VBG - A. Swallow - Heeney (C. Smith - Freeman - Hartung)
R: Goldy - NicNat (Cox)
F: Bonty - Swan - N. Riewaldt - Bennell - Hogan - M. Clark (Salem - Lambert)

Others input is welcome!
Hey mate, do you need any help with trades or just who to start? Happy to help with either :)

I'd play Salem over Mitch Clark and McIntosh over KDJ. Apart from that, looks alright!

Hey jay

Thoughts on gaz to one of sloane/jpk/lewis and bellchambers (f4) to bonty
Surely there's someone else you could flick instead of Belly? He's been solid value man. Seeing your full team would help :)
sorry bud was at work

team as is..

Shaw, Newnes, Lumumba, Macintosh, Saad, Oxley (Goodes, Brown)

GAZ, Pendles, Fyfe, Selwood, Griffen, CEY, Vandenberg, Heeney (Newton, Cripps, Miller)

Goldstein, Maric (Read)

Gray, Martin, Swan, Bellchambers, Salem, Clark (Hogan, Lonie)

I'm tempted to keep Goodes. B/E 65. Will he be sub again? doubtful, more likely to get dropped.. So I'm not fussed on that. Backline seems skinny but the rooks are ok, mid pricers are fine and Shaw doing his thing. Think I'm happy with most things like rooks etc.. could get NVB in but is he essential? scoring well because the Crows are flying at the moment..

Hi Jay lil help

Got to get rid of Pearce as he is going nowhere fast, if I trade him ive only got $294k to spend on replacement.
My only options are realistically
Taylor Hunt - Hunt is going through the mids, not tagging but looks likely to keep scoring ok.
Josh Bruce - got a 146 and an 80 odd, he will sky rocket in price but can he get over $400k?

Ultimately I knoe neither will be a keeper but im hoping one of them can get over $400k and I can upgrade asap. Either way Clancee has to go.

I have been lucky with Rookies and dont need any corrective trades and this seems to be the only issue at the moment with my team unless Taylor Adams in out in which case ill bench or trade depending on how long hes out.

Anyway

Thoughts?
If you're looking at a pure stepping stone to a premium, I'd prefer Hunt. Seems like he's playing a decent role for SC and is less of a 'flash in the pan' than Bruce... Looking at the nab scores, Bruce was poor so wouldn't just grab him after 2 good weeks.

So yeah, Hunt for me mate.

Noz

You seem like a smart man

Shaw, Newnes, Lumumba, KK, McIntosh, Saad (Brown,Hamling)
Ablett, Pendles, Fyfe, Beams, Kennedy, Dangerfield, Cripps, Heeney (CYE, Miller, Lambert)
Nic Nat, Bellchambers (Cox)
Gray, Martin, Swan, Clark, Salem, Hogan (Lamb, Lonie)

Thoughts of doing Ablett - Shiel then Cripps - Bont or Miller to Vandenberg then Ablett - Sloane

Other options arellowed

Okay Jay, here's a doozy for ya haha.
More issues this week than I have trades available.

Def:
Shaw. Hibberd. Lumumba. Newnes. Goodes. McIntosh. (Saad. Brown.)

Mid:
Ablett. Fyfe. Selwood. Ward. Heeney. VDB. CEY. Cocky. (Cripps. Miller. Lambert.)

Ruck:
Goldy. NicNat. (Read.)

Fwd:
Bartel. Dusty. Bennell. Swan. Salem. Hogan. (Clarke. Lonie.)

$69,400 remaining.

Options I see:
1. Goodes > Oxley. Cripps/Cocky > NVB. Rnd 3 Ablett > Sloane.
2. Ablett > Sloane. Goodes > Oxley. Rnd 3 Cripps/Cocky > NVB.
3. Ablett > Sloane. Goodes > Docherty.
4. Other....?
No worries champ, happy to help out.

I'm in a similar predicament to you, chase the points by trading Ablett out now and missing out on a rookie price rise or take the rookies and have 730k sitting on the bench for a week.

Are you going for the league win or overall ranking? If league win, I think grab the rookies and leave Ablett for next week (option 1). But if you're going for overall, you cant have that much cash sitting on the bench, and hence I'd go Ablett --> Sloane but instead of trading out Goodes (Presuming he's named, I think people are being a bit too trigger happy with him) I'd trade Cocky but swing Saad into the midfield for the time being and grab Oxley.

Huttabito

Hey Jay,

Team is currently:

DEF: Shaw, Gibson, Lumumba, Newnes, Saad, McIntosh (Goodes, Oxley)
MID: Ablett, Fyfe, Beams, Parker, Cripps, Newton, Vandenberg, Ellis-Yeolmen (Heeney, Cockatoo, Miller)
RUC: Naitanui, Bellchambers (Read)
FWD: Gray, Bartel, Martin, Swan, Salem, Clark (Hogan, Lamb)

$215k in the bank. AVG score 2101

Gazza and Cockatoo have to go.

Cockatoo -> NVB is a must, but a little unsure on Gazza.

Narrowed it down to either JPK/Sloane or Bonts.

If I bring in Bonts, he will become M4 (which I'm a little uneasy with), but will leave me with a whopping $489k in the bank for some quick multiple upgrades in a few weeks and will most likely increase my average score. Expecting a few dud scores though, and I already have 4 premo FWDS i had deemed to be keepers.

JPK/Sloane is just pure consistency and will leave Parker at M4, with about 300k in the bank (still decent!)

Just worried about missing the Bont-Train.

Any advice would help, cheers!

Jay

I'm with ya mate, hold onto Goodes - doubt he'll drop in price if he's named. Unfortunately GAJ has to go, Sloane would be my preference but may be bias :P its a toss a three sided coin kind of a call between him, JPK and Lewis.

Then, I'd leave Bont for this week and grab NVB for either Cripps or Miller.

Cheers for the advice Jayman!

Would love to go for overall, finished in top 6000 last 3 years running and trying to improve on that but think I'm too far gone haha, mind you I did make up 30,000 spots in overall rank in Rnd 2 alone. So may just go for my cash league while still trying to make up overall spots.

Honestly I'm happy to keep Goodes provided he isn't sub, I think he can score well enough playing out full games. Cripps I feel the same with and hoping with Whites injury his JS will increase.

Maybe I go Lambert > Oxley via Saad DPP and  Cocky > NVB. Suck it up with 1 less Premo for one week and Rnd 3 Ablett > Sloane.

crowls

Got problems and hope you can help.

B:   Shaw, Lumumba, Newnes, Saad, Oxley, Tosh, (goodes, KK)  pretty obvious my rookies outscore my POD.
M:  Fyfe, JPK, Beams, Ward, Wells, NVB, CEY, Heeny (Miller, Cripps, Vandenberg)
R:  Goldy, Maric (Read)
F:  Gray, Bartel, Swan, Bont, Clark, Salem (Lamb, Hogan)

Traded GAJ > Fyfe,   Lambert> NVB

Is this best option at moment.    Leaves me with Miller, Cripps and Heeny/Wells on my bench.
Not happy about KK and Goodes being bench in Backs.   Rucks and Forwards are fine.  Lamb will get more game time.
Basically forced into Lambert trade was going to do Wells or Miller.  Feel I made a mistake with wells and another rookie Mid with upgrade KK to Smith or Hibberd was better option.

TexR74

Is it more important to get rid of Goodes or get in Vandenberg?
Scenario A is Goodes out for Docherty
Scenario B is Cockatoo out for Vandenberg

Blues Blues Blues

Hey mate,

I've asked this in a number of threads but I'll ask it again, which trades this week?!

Trade 1: I'm convinced I need to get NVB, so will prob trade Cockatoo to NVB unless Cripps isn't named.

Trade 2: either
- GAJ to Bont and $470ish
- GAJ to Sloane and $280'ish

Sloane a keeper, but Bont could be great value for a F5-6?

Likewise ;)

Be wary of Shiel, he's played Melbourne and St Kilda so far... If you think he can be a keeper, then go for it but I'm not so sure. I prefer the second option, if you don't already have Vanders then you should get him in ASAP - Touk doesn't appear as if he's going to make much cash so you can afford to lose him. Ablett to Sloane is exactly what I'll be doing :)

No worries mate. I'd be uneasy too bringing Bont in as M4 - I think with Ablett, you need to trade him for a gun mid. Sloane and JPK are perfect, they give you another captain option and consistent scores every week. Can't say the same about Bonts yet - I don't think he's a must.

Out of those two, man its a 50/50 call. But I'm going Sloane... Higher average this season and last plus a BE in the 80s means this is probably going to be one of the cheapest times to get him all season.

Goodes is on the extended bench, so if he doesn't make the cut I think you should move on. But I like the idea you've suggested there man, get rid of Lambert seeing he'll be out for a while and grab yourself the right cash cows :)

Tough one man, GAJ --> Fyfe is a lock, stick with that for sure. The next trade is a bit tougher, ideally you'd like to free up some of that cash you have sitting on your defense bench - but there really isn't a good enough downgrade target to do that, apart from Brown.

I'd stick with what you've got and hope Goodes/KK can get back into some form.
