Struggling with my onfield rooks this week Jay. Gotta pick 3 of:
Newton
Vandenberg
CEY
Cripps
Heeney
Can you see one of the Dees jagging the red vest this week with Toump + JKH out?
Cunningham is out for the Swans.. Does that mean Heeney is closer to a vest?
And Lyons now out for the Crows...
Confused! Anyone else?
Tough one mate. I'd go with Newton (named on the wing, and played well last week), VandenBerg (I can't see him being vested after his performance last round) and then Id actually go Cripps - you paid which price for him so I reckon give him one more chance to live up to it.

Heeney got like 20SC for that late goal which inflated his score a shower load. If any of those guys above are the sub, then can always sub them out last minute.

Grigg is a certainty to be the sub for Adelaide mate, so whacking the E on CEY is fine.

Thinking about bringing in Gibson, but Birchall coming back could hurt his score. Thoughts??
Or should I just get smith??

Hey Jay, I am seriously confused about what way to take my team this week of whether to trade this week or hold them and give them another chance considering they cost a bit and it would be silly to react so quickly which goes against everything I normally do :P. I normally hoard my trades so am really only thinking one of the options below rather than using four so early.

I am considering after full teams are announced:
Cripps > Newton/Van Berlo
Lamb > McGrath

Then maybe next week after I get more of an idea into selections:
Wells > Rich
Miller > Lambert

Or maybe I just wait until next week and go:
Cripps > Newton/Van Berlo
Wells > Rich

Cheers and good luck for the season :). Any thing I can provide any assistance with?

Defense: Kade Simpson (CARL) Heath Shaw (GWS) Jack Newnes (STK) Heritier Lumumba (MEL) Brett Goodes (WBD) Nathan Brown (COLL) Kamdyn McIntosh (RICH) Adam Saad (GCS)

Midfield: Gary Ablett (GCS) Nat Fyfe (FRE) Joel Selwood (GEE) Dayne Beams (BRIS) Daniel Wells (NTH) Patrick Cripps (CARL) Isaac Heeney (SYD) Aaron Vandenberg (MEL) Cam Ellis-Yolmen (ADE) Nakia Cockatoo (GEEL) Touk Miller (GCS)

Rucks: Todd Goldstein (NTH) Nic Naitanui (WCE) Mason Cox (COLL)

Forwards: Robbie Gray (PORT) Dustin Martin (RICH) Dane Swan (COLL) Tom Bellchambers (ESS) Mitch Clark (GEE) Jesse Hogan (MEL) Tom Lamb (WCE) Jack Lonie (STK)

Looking at a correction trade, what do you think of:
Newnes or Lumumba for Brodie Smith, I have the cash needed.

I went with the hype of newnes and lumumba and took Smith out for one of them.
Is it a good move or am I just chasing last weeks points?

chasing. Smith wont always have the freedom he had against North.

Smith's the best option there mate. Can't see Birchall coming back hurting Gibbo's scoring but either way, I think Smith is the pick. Plays the perfect role for SC.

I'm struggling with captain choice this week.

Simpson, NicNat, Maric or Dusty for loophole?

I'm so undecided!

Then I don't know who to trust with captain if they fail. Ablett, Pendles, Fyfe, Lewis or Beams?

Any advice would be appreciated.

No worries at all mate, happy to help.

I'd give Cripps one more chance, if he spuds again then a trade for Newton/NVB is something you should definitely consider. Lamb --> McGrath is sound, just depends on how much you value having a playing F8.

As for next week, I wouldn't bring Lambert in - I fear he'll go straight back out when Deledio is ready.

So in short, I'd say Lamb to McGrath makes sense to give you a team full of playing rookies and then next week re-assess. :)

Chasing I think. Back your picks in for another week.

I'd say Dusty has the highest potential to go big so would whack the VC on him.

Ablett as C :) he usually destroys STK.

Thanks mate, that's the logical pick.

Also, I didn't get to see the Freo game unfortunately. What happened with ibbotson? I need to start three out of Goodes, Ibbo, McIntosh, Saad and N. Brown.
Leaning towards the first 3, but I thought saad looked really good on the weekend.

Your opinion?

Hey Mate -
Dont know what to do - if anything -
Steele allows me to loophole the best score from one of the mid rookies. Cripps tonight for example.
Bartel is out, 'hopefully' Lonie isn't sub this week. I'm missing lambert and hogan.
$12K left.
