Ablett Belly v Nic Nat Bartel.

No pressure Jay, but this will be like teaching your grandpa to suck eggs.

Tarrant and Steele at F6&8 or Karny and Hogan at F6&8

Really want Tarrant and Hogan but about 4k short and cant bring myself to change my team to generate 4k. If Steele can get a game really like his scoring potential but have a bad feeling itll be too tough to break into the best 21. Thats what ive been debating, whats your thought on it? Quietly prefer tarrant over hogan
The one with Hogan :) I think he's a must mate. Has excellent JS and now with the Pies scandals Karny appears like value too. Just don't see the value in Tarrant, never been a good scorer in the past. Nathan Brown of the fwd line but with worse JS ;)

Interesting combinations here. As much as I think Ablett is a lock, I'd prefer Nic Nat and Bartel.

Coming off no NAB games, I can't see Belly providing value early enough. Even though Ryder has left, I think the pick up of Giles will hurt Belly a fair bit as he's a genuine ruckman whereas Ryder could swing forward and let Belly do some ruckwork. Can't see Belly making 100k so its not worth the trade to get rid of him - he's not a keeper.

Nic Nat has 600k potential, he's a good pick, which is why everyone has him. Bartel safe as houses. I'd go with this option.

Am I better off to Ask Jay' or to 'Ask Torpy'?

Are you using this as a way to procrastinate from Uni?

Also, if I'm not starting GAJ (but plan to bring him in asap), do you think the premo midfield of Fyfe, Priddis, Parker, Treloar and Steven (keeping in mind your old mate Nige loves his PODs) is good enough?
Hai Nige. Yes that is exactly what I'm doing. Have an Accounting test Wednesday arvo  :-X

That midfield will definitely score enough points, with 5 keepers. Maybe just consider more proven guys like Lewis or Jones over Parker and Treloar simply because those two are just coming off a breakout year. Up to you though, I like what you've got as is though :)
Hahahaha, good lad!

Cheers champ, I think I'll stick with what I've got, but a last minute change of heart is definitely a possibility.

I think you're best off going to the RMSC board and asking Ricochet in Rico's Advice Thread.  :P

I'd have it as Rico > Jay > Torp but when Holz starts up his thread its him, then daylight and then the rest of us mere mortals ;)

Ask Jay 100%

I know I'm nothing compared to the great Jayman, but an extra opinion never hurts.

I wouldn't say 100% either Jack. 95% sounds a little better.  ;)

Mr Jman, thoughts on Scotty D Thompson?

I'd pass. Seems to be on the way down, was fully fit last year and only came out of it with a 78 average. Only 1 season of 90+ in the past and he's about to have his 29th birthday.

For a similar price range, I'd prefer Newnes or Lumumba. If you want to be unique, perhaps try Harbrow?

Thanks mate, has gone 84+ 3 in the past 4, but could be up and down and ruin ones season.

Is a starting 5 of Ablett, Pendlebury, Beams, JPK and Danger a strong enough premium setup in the midfield?

Obviously no Jelwood, Rocky or Fyfe to begin with, who will all hopefully finish in my team.
