Hey Jayman, wondering what you think about a few of the GSW boys like Greene, Dev Smith and Coniglio? Not sure how the addition of Griffin will affect these guys. (btw this is for supers draft)
cheers mate

Can't decide..

BEAMS v's JPK

Thoughts ??
JPK. Reason being, he hasn't just moved clubs like Beams has - there's no uncertainty with JPK and is as consistent as they come.

Cotchin vs Wines vs Griffin?
I think Griffin represents the best value there. Was a super premium a couple of years ago, and despite a down year last season he's still in his prime. At 530k I reckon that's your best bet. Wines isn't proven and with Cotchin, we've already seen what he can do and its just not elite for SuperCoach purposes.

G'day Jayman, Wonderful thread u have going. Doing alot for the FF community. Would u mind if u had a look at my team.

Def: Shaw, Taylor, Newnes, Lumumba, Goodes, Saad, (Hamling, McIntosh)

Mid: Ablett, Pendles, Fyfe, Parker, Griffen, Newton, Cripps, CEY, (Heeney, Miller, Steele)

Ruck: Goldy, Maric (Read)

Fwd: Gray, Martin, Swan, Salem, Clark, Hogan, (Lamb, Lambert)

Also Brayshaw vs Newton, Danger vs Parker, Goldy vs Niatanui and Pendles vs Jelwood

Cheers in advance
No problems at all mate.

DEF: I like how you've gone a bit unique with the Taylor pick. Nice! No changes needed, just monitor the rookies who are named.

MID: Another solid line, with Griff and Parker the unique picks. If you need some cash elsewhere, I'd suggest changing Griff to Jack Steven but if you're happy with the structure at the moment, its still very solid.

RUC: Would advise against Maric, he's had trouble getting on the park in the past and you don't have any cover for him. Try and find someone more durable. Jacobs is the obvious one but will require a little tinkering to gain enough cash.

FWD: Yeah really good, taking advantage of all the fwd rookies that are set to be named. Premium choices are faultless.

Brayshaw over Newton - think he has the higher scoring potential
Danger over Parker - Parker broke out last year and is at the peak of his price, whereas Danger will almost certainly improve on last year. Both are solid selections though.
Goldy over Nic Nat - if you have the extra cash, Goldy is definitely worth it due to his consistency and durability.
Pendles over Jelwood - Pendles cracks the ton more than anyone. He is as solid as it gets.

Cheers for the feedbak. What are your thoughts on Pendles > Lewis, Parker > Danger, Brayshaw > VDB, Lamb > TBC now that bmbers players have been cleared or would u stick with the original. Thanks
Yep I like that, mainly because it gives you cover for Maric in your rucks. Looking really good :)

Hey Jay,

Is it worth now to start Ablett and Rocky?
Then if either one of them looks like they will struggle to maintain their form again you could trade before their price drop.

Also I still have 3 rookies in fwd line including Hogan..Is Hogan worth it?

Cheers
Ablett, yes. Rocky, no. If you're paying >700k for someone you have to have absolute certainty, and with Beams out I don't have that with Rockliff. With Gary though there's years of past you can look back on to see how he's going to perform this year - there's no risks about it.

Yep, Hogan is certainly worth it. Best JS of all the rookies and even though he will probably struggle in terms of scoring early on, he's guaranteed best 22 so must be picked in our sides :)

Jpk vs beams

jpk/beams, cockatoo, bartel

vs

Griff sheed gray
Just answered a Beams vs JPK question, my answer was JPK. :)

I prefer the first option. JPK is almost a lock for a 112+ average - can't say the same for Griff, there's more risk to him. Cockatoo is a really talented youngster that the Cats rate and seems to have decent SC scoring potential. Sheed I don't see the value, seems more like a DreamTeam player to me. Gray is slightly ahead of Bartel, but I still see Jimmy being a top 5 forward so an excellent pick for sure. First option :)

Which bombers are truly in consideration??
Jobe/Hibberd & Belly??
Those 3 you mentioned are all in contention. I'd also throw Dys in there as a unique ;)

Of those 3, Belly will be the most popular pick as he offers coverage for your rucks but Hibberd in my opinion will definitely be a top 5 back so he's a solid option. Problem with Jobe is that he shares the same bye with GAJ and the rest of the premo mids.

Thanks mate. I'm starting to think that the extra 40k for Danger might be the go.

Hmm tough one. I'd recommend Steph Curry or Klay Thompson if you want a GSW boy ;) haha seriously though, Ward and Treloar are obviously the two elites there but the guys you mentioned aren't all that far behind.

All 3 of Greene (from 73 to 103), Smith (70 to 91) and Conigs (74 to 84) improved last year and I can see a similar progression this year. Although I can't see Greene getting much better than a 105ave. Of the 3, Smith is the one I'd seriously consider as an optoin in your forward line. In the final 4 games of last season he went 115, 134, 95, 137. Should be able take some of that form into this year :)

Beams?
Solid pick, huge scoring potential. Is there anyone else you're considering? As said, I'd prefer JPK but if he doesn't fit with your structure, Beams is certainly a good pick.

Parker & Oxley
Or
Gibson & Newton
Just quickly, I presume we're talking about Josh Gibson? If so, I'd go that option. Think the addition of Frawley will free Gibson up a little and increase his scoring - he has had an excellent NAB. Newton isn't my favourite rookie pick but he seems like he'll have solid JS at the Dees and played in every NAB game showing decent scoring although its hard to tell give that he only played 59% TOG.

Oxley I can't see offering much value and although I like Parker, think there are better picks at a similar price.
