OK Jayman, here's my question.
I am doing well so far in SC by avoiding injuries (other than 1 trade used for Luey to Grundy) so my question is...
Do I really need to trade this week looking at my side?
Cheers in advance...

B- Shaw,Lumuba,Newnes,Ibbo,McIntosh,Oxley (Goodes Saad)
M-Pendles,Sloane,Jelwood,Fyfe,Lewis,Parker,VDBerg,Heeney (CEY Miller CSmith)
R- Goldy,Grundy (Cox)
F- Dusty,Buddy,Swan,Clark,Hogan,Salem (Lonie Saad)
$31k

Would eventually like B Smith and Gray too.

Hi jay, trades are doing my head in this week as they were last week. Had rockcliff, GAJ, leuy at start which didn't out. My team below.

DEF: Shaw, Birchall, Lumumba, Hayness, Mcintosh (Oxley, Goodes)

MID: Fyfe, Sloane, Pendles, Ward, Ellis-Yol, Wells, Vandenberg, Cripps (Anderson, Lang, Miller)

RUC: Goldstein, NNat (Cox)

FWD: Gray, Swan, Martin. Walker, Hogan, Clarke (Lonie, Lamb)

26 trades and $124 k in the bank.

Should I:
a) Wells > Bont + Anderson > Heeney
b) Haynes > rookie defender(who but) + wells > selwood
c) any other suggestions

Haynes at 368k is killing me as is Wells. Not too worried about goodes as hopefully I can upgrade him later and\or he be used as  loophole for a little bit until a decent rookie emerges. What do you think?

Hey jayman.
Would love ur opinion on the following trade ideas
Looking to trade out R griffen move C Pearce into mids bench for a week and jump on oxley.
With the cash I will upgr sexton to bonti in fwds.

Then next week trade out goodes, move Pearce back to def and get krak. This will also give me m/f link.

Is it worth getting rid of griffen to get the other trades done?

Def: h Shaw Simpson newnes saad McIntosh Pearce goodes n brown
M : sloane pendles jpk danger rich. And all the good rooks
F: gray dusty swan Salem Clark lonie sexton lamb

Great thread thanks for ur input mate!

Okay Jay, I've got to move Bartel and Goodes on, I've got $240,500 in the kitty as it stands.

I'm keen to get JPK/Gray/Pendles but I'm more inclined to wait another week or two as they all have such high BE's, all 150 or above.

Looking to get Brodie Smith in also and even contemplating getting Bontempelli and using him as a stepping stone.

I have DPP links on all lines so am able to get whoever I can afford, trouble is I'm not sure which way to go on it.

Shaw. Hibberd. Lumumba. Newnes. Oxley. McIntosh. (Goodes. Brown.)
Sloane. Fyfe. Jelwood. Ward. Heeney. VDB. CEY. Cripps. (Saad. Miller. Lambert.)
Goldy. Nic Nat. (Read.)
Bartel. Dusty. Swan. Bennell. Salem. Hogan. (Clarke. Lonie.)

Hmm tough one. I'd actually hold off trading for a defence premium at the moment, just because the rookies are performing so well its almost a waste to have one of them on the bench.

How about Goodes --> Krak by swinging Saad back and then hopefully you can use Brown (if he misses) to potentially loophole McIntosh. And then I'd trade Bartel to Bontempelli - don't think I really need to explain why people should be getting Bont.

Then that will give you plenty of cash for a Lambert upgrade next week, whether that be a mid or a forward.

Cheers Jay! I like the logic and Krak is on my watchlist, Im not keen to go early on him though as I want to see what eventuates when Impey is back fit.

You know what, I might just hold this week. I don't 'need' to trade, I've got cover for Bartel and Goodes. And with the high BE's I'm predicting at least one or two of the fellas I'm keen on to depreciate in value so I'll just wait another week and see what happens there.

I think if I was to trade this week I'd just go Bartel > Buddy.

Firstly, I love the team mate.

If Goodes is named, then I'd trade him for Whitecross but if he isn't, I'd hold onto him and use him for loophole purposes. Think his BE is over 90 so he's most likely going to have another price drop.

This week, I'd also look at going one week early on Krakeour and gettid rid of CSmith. That gives you the flexibility to makes 2 moves next week. Can't really see a major risk in getting Krak this week, I think he's got good JS and is cheap enough anyway - also offers DPP.

So this week I'd do Smith --> Krak and then if Goodes is named, Goodes --> Whitecross. I know people don't like getting rookies before they are on the bubble but in this case I think it will work. And then re-assess next week. :)

But by next week you might have the cash to do fwd rookie --> Tarrant and then upgrade Ibbo - depends on his score this week, but I don't see him as a keeper.

If Goodes is named, I'd downgrade him to Whitecross. Your backline is already very strong so I don't think you can afford to carry Goodes who is likely to lose money. And then I'd do McGrath or Lamb down to Krakeour to give you some fwd coverage this week.

And then next week if Cockatoo spuds again, you'll be able to trade him, switch Krakeour into your mids and grab Tarrant. Hopefully by then you might have enough in the bank for an upgrade.

Haynes has a BE of 92, I'd get off ASAP - he isn't a keeper and won't earn you much cash. Same with Wells.

This week:
Wells --> Heeney
Haynes --> BSmith

Next week:
Anderson --> Krak
Lamb --> Tarrant

That should still leave you with plenty of cash for an upgrade when the rookies have finished their price rises.

I'd hold Griffen mate, he's going to be a rollercoaster but he'd bound to pump out some big scores soon.

All I'd do this week is Pearce --> Oxley and then re-assess next round.

I'd wait a week, he's not on the bubble yet so no rush.

It's their fault for wanting advice from someone ranked as low as me ;)
