Would rather he cop the vest round 1 than any other round of the year. But in saying that, it puts doubts over his JS/ spot in 21

That wouldn't fill me with confidence regarding his JS

If I have to use a corrective trade a few weeks later to get him then I'll do so

Bloody oath. My mid rookies, I think, are strong enough to carry a sub. It would save a trade and he is undoubtably good enough to be best 22 without the vest. So one more time " bloody oath " 8)

Exactly, Boekhorst will be sub if selected, Cripps is workmanlike, he either starts in the middle or he doesn't play. I would be shocked if he cops the vest.

I can see Clem Smith wearing the vest. Cripps is cumbersome and very inside. Not the type of player to inject pace and energy into a game in the third quarter. He either starts or misses, but no vest. But by all accounts, it looks like he's starting. No point in entertaining the hypothetical.
