#96
Round 1 has come to a close.

With no score of 1500 we have seen the effects of the AF+SC scores divided by 2.  may be an anomoly but we will see as season progresses. (1483 top score for the round)

Also please note there may be a discrepancy of 1 or 2 in your overall scores due to the fact that my spreadsheet does a total rounding whereas you may be doing individuals rounding. To difficult to adjust all but if it comes down to overall points in any one week will do a double check of teams involved. No real difference to the AFL score though.

Results from Round 1

Hastings Hurricanes 19.12.126 defeated Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs 14.8.92

An inspirational game by Hoods Captain Robbie Gray seen the Hoods triumphant in this clash.

Winchester Werewolves 22.16.148 defeated Crosby Cruisers 17.14.116
Changes
Werewolves: Simon White replaced Andrew Mackie
Werewolves flexed there muscles after the disappointments of last year easily accounting for the cruisers, So dominant were the werewolves they left Tex Walker on the bench for the whole game.

Changes
Leeches: Andrew Carazzo sub score replaces Trent Mackenzie score

Changes
Owls: Sharrod Wellingham sub score replaces Kade Kolodjashnij score.
Steins Kristain Jaksch replaced Tendai MzUngu and Jesse Hogan replaced George Horlin Smith
Owls had a victory of Steins who were rocked by a couple of late changes reducing their bench, Steins showed enough to suggest they will not be cellar dwellers this year,

Changes
Giants Jordan deGoey replaced Danny Stanley and Billy Longer (OOP)  replaced Cameron O'Shea
Hawks: James Frawley replaced Jack Grimes
Hawks had a comfortable win of the Giants who are most peoples pick for the dungeon Award. Giants played well in patches but will need to produce 4 quarter efforts if they are to avoid Dungeon.

Liverpool Rams 22.16.148 defeated Blackpool Bunnies 22.13.145
Changes
Bunnies â€" Gary Rohan subscore replaces Jake Carlisle score
Rams: Taylor Hunt replaced Grant Birchall and Mitch Hallahan sub score replaces Jack Lonie Score

Will not post the table at this stage as it will be out of wack due to the disappointing effort of the Hedgehogs who are also eliminated from the Rob Roy knock out Shield

Did you read the post in full - Said I would not publish a ladder for firt round due the % being screwed by the Hedgehogs effort so really no real point.

I fail to see how that's a legitimate reason though.

I understand that the Hedgehogs scored poorly but the Werewolves/Cruisers and Hawks/Giants games had margins that were as big or bigger in the latter's case.

You're still gonna have to post it next week and the % may still be screwed, so we're all being punished (for lack of a better word) because the Hedgehogs didn't name a team and did poorly? I'm sorry, but I don't understand that at all.
