Hello all! Haven't posted here in a while, so thought i should probably share my team and hear what you all have to say about it! Please feel free to leave any comments, suggestions or tips!

DEF: Malceski, H Shaw, R Murphy, Newnes, Lumumba, Mcintosh (Hamling, Saad)
MID: Pendlebury, Fyfe, Selwood, Griffen, Bennell, Heeney, Boekhorst, Vandenberg (Ellis-Yolmen, T Miller, Steele)
RUC: Minson, Naitanui (O'Brien)
FWD: Gray, Deledio, Swan, M Clark, Saad, Hogan (Lamb, Lambert)
-Cash: $100,100

DEF: Strong! Malceski is the only worry for me, I'm not confident he'll average 100+ straight off the bat at GC to justify his starting price.

MID: Like me, no Ablett. Bennell is a god POD, though I can't see him averaging 100 and being a mid keeper. Would someone like A. Swallow be more worthwhile for a little extra?

RUC: Nothing wrong there, hope NicNat works out for you.

FWD: With 5 premiums down back, this is by far the weakest area, but its not that weak. All playing, and the bottom 4 will all rise very nicely.

Rate: 9/10

I'd look at downgrading Malceski to Gibson, upgrade Bennell to Swallow/Boak/Dangerfield, and depending on how much is left, maybe save yourself and upgrade NicNat.

Not much wrong though, nice team! :)

Care to rate mine?

St Kilda Saad still needs to be promoted so keep an eye out.

Keep an eye on some of those rookies Luigi, some may not come up when teams named next week.

I agree with Sven about Malceski. Hasn't shown enough IMO in the pre-season and hard to justify spending 560k on him.

I'd drop him to Simpson and then trade Saad out for either Newton or Cripps by moving Bennell into the forwards.

Very good team none the less.

Luigi Great Advise from AK.   Team would have great depth at DEF, FWDS and improved mid rookies.

Cheers Gents for the replies.

- Malceski to Burgoyne taking on your advice about his high price tag does seem like a good move indeed. Will aim to bring him in later in the season once his price drops.
- Rookies obviously will change as teams are released, but if Saad seems the more definite one to not get upgraded then might as well act now.
- And looking at Cripps scores i'm willing to take him on too.
- However recently i've started to have doubts over Bennell, especially his inability lately to play out a full season. Before looking at your advice was considering merely changing him to Dangerfield, still in my midfield, and that's that. But undertaking your advice would mean moving the one prem from the Mid to the Fwds. However if i play my cards right, it could mean i'm trading Bennell to Ablett later via some DPP?

Would love to have further thoughts about where to place that extra premium, in the fwd or mids. Especially since that means whether i have 4 or 3 rookies in the mids; or 3 or 2 rookies in the fwds.

Cheers!

I'd say no to Burgoyne I love the Murphy pick looks like a gem this year.
Love to see Bennell move up fwd and bring Anderson into the midfield.
Rucks risk v reward here if you weighed it up I like the reward better nice stuff!

Finally someone with Bob Murphy. Love it Luigi. Think he's going to be an awesome POD this year.

No love for NVB?? Proven scorer in the past, will make 200k. Will play every game.

DEF: Burgoyne, Shaw, Murphy, Lumumba, Newnes, Mcintosh (Saad, Oxley)
MID: Fyfe, Pendlebury, Griffen, Selwood, Deledio, Ellis-Yolmen, Vandanberg, Heeney (Cripps, Anderson, Miller)
RUC: Naitanui, Minson (Read)
FWD: Gray, Swan, Bennell, Hogan, Salem, Clark (Lamb, Lambert)

Options are:
1. Keep Deledio, bench him for Cripps, Trade Lambert to Saad/Lonie (if so which of these rookies)
2. Deledio to Bontempelli, move him into fwds for Lambert, then Lambert to Nathan Van Berlo.

Quick thoughts anyone please? :)
