And HP was pretty close to being Coach of the round too  :o

Always good to see Fyfe in the team  8)
So close yet so far! One of these weeks I'll get there, but happy with Pridda leading the team this week :D.

should we change it to the Holz of the week, and the second best coach gets it?
hahaha love that level of arrogance

Almost a certainty that Holz will be named EurAsia coach this year.... I dare Holz to name a team entirely from Dublin to take on the AAP Alliance.

without the byes I could probably do it and stand a decent shot. I could do Dublin and Ex Dublin players. With guys like Fyfe Gray I could do damage.

Round 8

Rising Star

Cape Town are up and about right now and they'll continue to party all night long with Cameron McCarthy taking home the nomination this week after convincingly beating out his peers with a score of 114.

Team of the Week

As we've come to expect, a nice even spread. No dominance by one particular team. But wait, no Dublin representatives! That sums up their week. Oh, I'll also get in trouble if I don't mention the coach of the week is none other than our beloved overlord Purple 77. Hard luck story of the week? It's Jordan Murdoch who must hate his coach, he produced the second best score of the round... for Rhineland! There's more where that came from. Rounding out the top 5 scorers of the week is Travis Varcoe who helped Shanghai to victory.

D: K.Simpson (Vice Capt, Mexico City), M.Williams (PNL), M.Hurley (Pacific), M.Hibberd (Berlin)
M: J.Steven (Capt, Berlin), L.Neale (Beijing), D.Hannebery (London), S.Pendlebury (Toronto)
R: I.Maric (Mexico City)
F: J.Riewoldt (Rio), B.Deledio (Mexico City), J.Daniher (Moscow), L.Dahlhaus (Tokyo)
I: M.Blicavs (Cape Town), M.Barlow (Pacific)

Coach: Purple 77 (Berlin)

Jukes

Holz

No players or coach in the team of the week. Thats probably a first in two years.

Hellopplz

Purple 77

Yay, go me! Second time ever been coach of the round, after being close a lot since captain buddy kicked 13 in Launceston and I cracked the 170 barrier in 2012.

Yay Steven and Hibberd! The funny thing is, had I not been chicken and rested fyfe instead of treloar, I would have captained Steven and broke the 170 mark :P

Toga

Lachie Neale producing the goods again. Fast becoming a star!

Trav Varcoe should feel robbed that his 145 for the reserves didn't get him a gig? Probably not as he wasn't even considered this week. Might change ahead of next round though with that D4 position struggling a bit.

If you're gonna keep making him play for Shanghai, you can send to Cairo for Arryn Siposs and Dave's cardboard Katy Perry.  8)

Trade 46 (Confirmed)
Berlin gives: Josh Green
Dublin gives: Pick 68, Rookie Pick 37, Lachie Neale

see I can lose a trade. Stupid Green.

I may come to you, my forward line is stacked with Walters and Bruce on the bench.

So do we tbh, that's all we have right now. In fact, we played like 7 or 8 this past week.  :o

Memphistopheles

We have plenty of depth as well.

We will be looking for another midfielder come season's end and can offload a forward or a defender.

Haynes and Schofield are averaging 70+ but, are on the outer of our best 4 defenders. Jake Kelly and Gary Rohan are young with lots of room for improvement and averaging 60+ this year. Also have Gwilt, Smedts, O'Shea and Dick who've gotten games this year.

Meanwhile Crameri, Sam Reid, Lachie Hunter, Jaden McGrath, Mitch Honeychurch, Jimmy Toumpas and Dean Kent have all played at some stage and have promise.

We'd be happy to package up 2 of those guys for a better midfielder.
