Pointing out Holz hasn't been coach of the week the last 4 times, clearly the best team and clearly the favourite.... but the flag race certainly is not over

it never is in fantasy. just need to look at Serbia's dominance but no titles to show that. especially when guns start getting rest towards the end of the season. last year i lost goldy buddy and rocky in the grandfinal

Round 12

Rising Star

The honours this week head to Moscow where Dom Sheed took the chocolates with a 102. Buenos Aires' Tim Membrey has reason to be salty as a game in the seniors would have got him the nomination. Instead, Moscow coach Jukes has one less reason to complain. Let the vodka flow.

Team of the Week

This week's team features three representatives from both Moscow and Christchurch who both posted very solid scores while Tokyo, despite a middle-of-the-road score, managed two contributors. In other news, New Delhi's Jack Darling was this week's best forward, Toronto's Scott Pendlebury went berserk and Dublin's Todd Goldstein triumphantly reclaimed the TOTW ruck spot.

D: K.Kolodjashnij (New York), L.Picken (Christchurch), L.Hodge (PNL), B.Houli (Rio)
M: S.Pendlebury (Capt, Toronto), D.Armitage (Vice Capt, Moscow), M.Boyd (Christchurch), D.Heppell (Moscow)
R: T.Goldstein (Dublin)
F: J.Darling (New Delhi), D.Zorko (Christchurch), R.Gray (Moscow), J.Cripps (Tokyo)
I: J.Kennedy (Cape Town), K.Jack (Tokyo)

Coach: Holz (Dublin)

Holz

Goldy ruck and Holz coach, all is right in the world.

Would have both happened last week too.

You better believe it! Dom <3 definitely starting to warrant spending pick 10 on him. Averaging 82 if you exclude the two green vests and his round 1 shower-stain

Three players in the TOTW is pretty great too, Arma <3 Dys <3 Rob <3

Round 13

Rising Star

In a rebuild, you'd hope your young guns are firing and showing the talent you know they have, and that's exactly what is happening at Buenos Aires. This week, they've got another nomination as Matt Crouch scored 99 to add the list of Armadillos in line for the honour of WXVs Rising Star for 2015.

Team of the Week

It's exciting times for us here at Team of the Week because there's a new ruck in town and his name is Maxwell Gawn and he's from Berlin! Some bloke called Gary Ablett has also risen from the ashes and a defender is the captain this week of the side this week. Todd Goldstein didn't appreciate being outdone and was able to sneak onto the interchange while Buenos Aires' vice captain lead the way for forwards this week and Cairo forward Luke Breust made an appearance.

D: L.Hodge (Capt, PNL), A.Rance (Dublin), T.McDonald (Dublin), L.Picken (Christchurch)
M: P.Dangerfield (Vice Capt, Seoul), J.Macrae (New York), G.Ablett (Rio), D.Hannebery (London)
R: M.Gawn (Berlin)
F: T.Adams (Buenos Aires), M.Bontempelli (Pacific), B.Deledio (Mexico City), L.Breust (Cairo)
I: O.Wines (Beijing), T.Goldstein (Dublin)

Coach: JROO8 (Mexico City)

Goldstein's days as R1 are Gawn >:D
I almost made that exact joke.  :o

I've heard like a billion puns with his last name, so it was likely :P

Just noticed Jackson Thurlow was nominated for rising star 2 years ago (2013) also. He joined Billy Longer as the other player to have been nominated twice (2012 and 2014).

Not unheard of for players to be nominated twice... just weird that both did 2 years apart (you'd think it would be in consecutive years given the 10 game limit).

Nige

I'm worried Jack Lonie won't get a nomination.

He's not scoring high enough to get it and there's only like 4 weeks left.  :(

Thats ok ill take a 6 game average of 140 very happily.

Better than this Fyfe Scrub.

Toga

On ya Winesy! :)

Cool stat Oz! Didn't realise he had been nominated a couple of years ago. I'm very happy with how Jacko has been travelling this year, looking like he'll be a good player for us
