Brisbane would of needed to beat the Bulldogs for them to have to travel to Adelaide anyway.

Personally as a Richmond supporter I would be happy. North are a tougher prospect at Eithad and if you had lost you may have been travelling to Adelaide (unless the unlikely scenario that Brisbane upset the Bulldogs).

This way you get a comfortable victory against them at Eithad and then get to face them at the MCG in the first final where the advantage swings over to you.

I think the only team it really affects is Adelaide. If NM beat us they would get a home final (against Richmond) but if NM tank and lose then they are away to the Dogs.

You know, most people won't care or have much good to say about this guy, but I always liked him. Never the most skilled or talented bloke, but he managed to string some really good games together for us a number of times and was an extremely good and versatile role player for us. Personally, I'm sad to see him go.

That's 4 retirements now, 3 due to injury which really sucks.

I can't imagine we'll have many delistings now either, because it would be way too big a turnover.

Honestly the only one I can think of would be Arnot (which it pains me to say), maybe but unlikely Morris, and there's a chance somebody like McDonough will look elsewhere for more opportunity (a la Matt White).



The best news today is the abolishment of the sub rule. It means that we'll hopefully have a clearer best 22 and no bunch of guys to designate the vest towards (Lloyd, Nippa, Beatle, Kamdyn etc).

Yep, surely we throw everything at Treloar and make both Motlop and Yarran tasty offers as well. If we somehow got all three, that'd be a massive coup.

Haha sounds like you are the frontrunners but the club would have to have a hard look at themselves if they didn't at least enquire ;)
