Newy has announced he'll retire at season's end.  :'(

Hopefully we can make it a good way to end an underrated career. Has been a consistent performer for us for so long now, at least we got him that elusive final - now lets try win one for him ;)

Been a good player and a great clubman over his career. A great role model for any young aspiring lad wanting to play AFL football.
One of those guys you would be hard pressed to find anyone have a bad word to say about. He bleeds yellow and black.

Reckon you will, alot would of been learnt from last year and no doubt hasn't sat well with the team over the last 12 months the Hawthorn game showed me that they are desperate for another crack and will make a better fist of it, they are good enough to go deep into September i just hope they are mentally strong enough, the Crows game worry's me, brilliant against the Hawks then didn't fire a shot against us a week later which is confusing as your alot more advanced than we are i think.

On Yarran, I would happily take him as long as it doesnt mean we then cant get our hands on a Treloar or Motlop type.
Yarran when hes on and playing with confidence though is a jet and exactly the sort of player we need to inject some pace

It sounds like both us and North have conceded that Treloar is Collingwood bound.

Not sure if we're still interested in Motlop, I really hope we are. Both Motlop and Yarran would be great, but Yarran alone isn't what I'd settle for given we're supposedly cashed up.

If Geelong are talking about getting all 3 of Danger, Scott Selwood and Henderson then surely we can afford more than just 1 decent player with our apparent war chest of money.
