Thought Newy might come in, but says in that article he will play VFL. So don't think we'll have any changes tonight.

I reckon there's a chance Nippa Gordon or Sammy Lloyd come in for Menadue.

Where would you take the money from first?

I'd probably start by shaving it off my ass, or maybe a thigh

Toga

Geez not sure about the umpiring tonight.

Not sure. Didn't realise he had so little of the ball till I looked at stats after the game, he still looked like he was involved a fair bit. If Ellis is injured makes it more unlikely I think, and reckon Taylor Hunt might be one that needs a couple of games in the twos to get his mojo back.

Some genuine howlers at crucial times probably cost us a goal here and there, but our kicking was Auskick quality and some players just did not have good nights at all. Hunt, Cotch, Kamdyn are names that come to mind.

Positives were Dusty, Tyrone and Grimes imo.

Tosh likely to get dropped?
I'm not sure, it's definitely a possibility. We have Sydney next Friday night, so that's a worry. Probably depends on who performs in the VFL. Newy will probably come in, Corey Ellis might miss too depending on how badly hurt he is (probably needs a rest anyway).

WCE's press was just too much for us tonight, they executed it very well and we didn't take our chances when we had them. A couple of misses from Lids and Jack late in the game cost us. Eagles were just the better team and Maric had no answers to NN, even Sinclair out-rucked him at times, which was a huge factor in their win.

But seriously, anyone else think there were some very ordinary calls by the umpires tonight?
>Chaplin FA to NicNat for putting body on him as he went to go 3rd man up + 50m penalty... NN wasn't the nominated ruckman so not sure what the problem was there?
>Rance FA for throwing the ball to the umpire, who caught it?
>McIntosh blatantly tripped late in the game as Richmond broke through the press, not called.

There were a bunch of other instances but I won't bother with them, the above was what stood out. Not discrediting the Eagles as they definitely deserved to win tonight but wtf!

Toga

Dusty was huge again. Great to see him putting in some awesome 4 qtr efforts this year! Really maturing as a player, how good was his composure playing on and slotting a couple of goals at crucial times tonight.

Nige

Yep, on the money as always their Toges!

I'm still in awe of how bad our kicking was. I'm talking about in general play and shots on goal. Dusty and Tyrone had two shots that were certain goals but didn't get them. Lids and Jack had ones they would have kicked more often than not. Ivvy's shot at goal was deplorable.

Taylor Hunt had turnovers galore, I cringed every time he went to dispose of it. Batch had a mixed bag for me. I thought he had a few moments of brilliance, but it was offset by some stupid stuff. Brandon Ellis does well 50% of the time, but his disposal at times makes me want to flip tables in disgust.

Also thought Flossy was good tonight and I think Connor Menadue also did really well after coming on. Still learning and developing, but from what I've seen we got that pick right. Needs to put on some size though, paper is thicker than he is right now. Happy with the way Stevie Morris went about it tonight as well, didn't stand out but had some good moments.

Toga

Yep agree with that Nige!

Not sure what's the deal with Hunt he just doesn't look confident with it and turned it over too cheaply too often. Wouldn't be surprised to see Newy come in for him next week.

Thought Brando and Vlas were really good. Tigga is really excelling as a small defender at the moment, really like his work.

Not good enough tonight but there were positive signs, WCE are a very solid side so nothing to be ashamed of.

Just flat tonight. The bye seems to have that affect..
Aside from that we turned it over to much and continually bombed it to their spare man.
West coast too smart and too good tonight

I think that's more the result of their press working really well rather than a reflection on us. Our disposal was very poor but we just lacked the composure to hold up the game and bring it back on to our terms like we have been so good at doing the last few weeks, and as a result West Coast continually had that spare player in front of play.

Disappointing loss but the Eagles are a very good side, can't be too ashamed about that loss!
