I'm now not that confident with having Swan as F4 and think the $$ saved on cheaper options up fwd can be used to bolster my mids...

I was running 4 Prem Mids + rookies
Now thinking...

4 Prems + Griffen & rookies

Gain the $$ by downgrading Swan to Bellchambers or J Martin...

What can we expect from Belly & Martin??

keep swan he scored 88 in a game where collingwood lost by 10 goals if it was a closer game or they had won he would of scored 100 points. i think people are over reacting a little

LordSneeze

Im very happy with the over reactions.

Dane Swan:

2010:
Prelim games - played 1 (StK), scored 88
H&A - Played 22, averaged 127

2011:
Prelim games - played 3 (Syd, WCE, Ess), scored 150, 84, 95
H&A - played 21, averaged 122

2012:
Prelim games - played 5 (only 3 with SC scores on here, Mel, Ade, StK), scored 46, 74, 80
H&A - played 18, averaged 126

2013:
Prelim games - played 3 (2 with SC, WCE and Gee), scored 71 and 110
H&A - played 22, averaged 118

2014:
Prelim games - played 1 (Ric), scored 69
H&A - played 17, averaged 86

Moral: Prelim games mean diddly-squat for guys like Swan. Scored 63 and 88 in 2 games, priced well below what he can do.

I hear you and agree in a way...

My question was not what Swan will average (I do think he can avg.100)
It's can expect Bellchambers, Martin or any other potential mid-rookie sub $300k to go above a avg.85?

(Not including- Salem, Clark, Hogan, Lambert)

What looks like a better set up...

Mid: Pendles, Fyfe, Selwood, Ward, Griffen, Cripps, Cockatoo, Vandeberg (Ellis, Yeoman, Miller, Lambert)

Fwd: Bartel, Martin, Bennell, Bellchambers, Salem, Clark (Hogan, Steel)

Or..

Mid: Pendles, Fyfe, Selwood, Ward, Wells, Cripps, Cockatoo, Vandeberg (Ellis, Yeoman, Miller, Lambert)

Fwd: Bartel, Martin, Bennell, Swan, Salem, Clark (Hogan, Steel)

Griffen to Wells
Bellchambers to Swan

Bully

Swanny hasn't hit the ton since April of last year, I hold but am nervous about this one.

Did Jack martin play in the NAB challenge?  Can't recall seeing him and he is one I was considering too.

Only played the second game.

I don't know, I'm starting to think Swan has had enough of football and starting with last year, is purely and simply going
through the motions, which, because of his tremendous ability, is enough to retain his place in the side, and still have a big fat cheque waiting for him at the end of the week. Am I being cynical? Yes. Is there a secret injury noone knows about? Maybe. Surprised Eddie hasn't dumped him.

He is currently my m6

Swan?

Should always be picked as a fwd.

I have him M5/6 and will swing forward when the time is right. Probably change another 10-20 time between now and next week anyway. ???

Structure wise you would most likely be better off to put Swan in your fwd line and swap a fwd rookie for a mid rookie.

The mid rookies traditionally score more and make more cash, so having an extra there is important.
