I don't think Hodge will get anything. When Wingard was down and hurt, was it because of the Hodge impact? Or was it because of the collision with the post? If the latter then all hodge did was lightly flick his head behind play. He didn't force him into the post.

It all comes down to the impact on the player now, and Wingard got up and flowered the Hawks after. Hodge will be fine but I heard because he's already copped a suspension this season if he gets given anything then you have to add one week to it.

Chad was obviously going to collide with the post, but I think that Hodge initiated contact between Wingard's Head and the post which would not have occured otherwise. AFL really dislike head contact, we've seen that with the bump, so I'm expecting a week or two.

Hodge elected to go the bump, made head high contact, medium impact and he could have avoided contact.

Watch the replay, wingard neck was bent around the post. Had it not been for the padding on the post, wingard could have sustained a very serious injury.

To suggest he'll get of because he is from hawks is flawed logic as he has already been suspended this year.

Marc Murphy dislocated shoulder. Gone for the year obviously

If Wingard doesn't connect the goalpost Hodge doesn't bump him.

I think Hodge will have a holiday but circumstances didn't help him.

Think Hodge would have got him whether or not the goal post was there. It just depends on how the MRP see the impact, IMO, which will probably be low because it's the Hawks and they seem to just look at the injury to the player (or lack of), and Wingard played the game out - and starred. A concussion would have been a hugely different story.

All I need is 1 week for Hodge, as GF opp has him and I don't  ;)

Like after the North game when Lewis and Hodge both got slapped with 'potential to cause serious injury', which hasn't come up since then?
Or will it end up like the Chris Masten biting case where missing finals will be taken into consideration and reduce the suspension?

Either way, Fyfe will get off because they don't want him to miss out on the Brownlow, and they'll spin the wheel for Hogde and see what it comes up with.

I wouldn't mind if he got a week even though I have him.
I have trades left and can just trade him out, yet I doubt many of my opponents would be in the same boat.

My thoughts would all depend on how many people get dropped for a rest this week.

Hawks and Dockers maybe, no one else can afford to take the risk

I think the Dockers' bigger problem is trying to play into some good form, something resting players won't help achieve. Hawks on the other hand might have to start planning ahead for a trip to Perth or 2.

Dockers can't really afford to rest anyone after losing today, they don't want to finish 2nd and play the Hawks or something.
