@Robbo_heraldsun I think u may find Mitch has hurt his foot again. A good Greg Williams  handball by coach when asked about him. #verysad

‏@ImpromptuSC   Just double checking that I heard @Stevo7AFL say Selwood is expected to be out 1-2 weeks due to hand #SuperCoach

Stevo said 1-2 weeks for Selwood but Doc said 4-5.

Just gotta wait and see :-X

Club report will be out in the week. If there is no break you would expect him to play, if there is I think it will be at least 3. I know Sidebottom broke his thumb and that was a 6-8 week injury. A plate probably means less but still, it doesn't seem like it would be good

Maybe Selwood will just rock up with a glove next game cause its Joel.  :-\

Yep.
Pain is not really an issue for this bloke.
The Cats won't risk him longer term if structural issues- leading to more time on the sidelines- but expect him to be back on the park as soon as possible. Or sooner.

From a SuperCoach point of view, it would probably be better as a 4-5 weeker then we'll have to do something rather then 1-2 maybe.. sitting on the bench

I might just take it as a way to dump him regardless. He is averaging a tick over 100 and with a hand injury he probably won't score all to well if he does play through it not at 100%

Point taken..straight swap to super premo, no mucking around

Looking at where the swelling was, you'd think it was a metacarpal fracture and the recovery should be quicker than that of a thumb.

It looks like something where they potentially insert a plate which you would think results in a quicker recovery time. I dunno, you're the Doc

The unfortunate thing is I can't bring in Fyfe due to bye structures. I am tempted to just start swinging the axe now on a few guys that are under-performing and that includes a couple of round 12 mids.

Any more news on Clark yet?    Have Lamb still on bench, held off on Salem this week but my fwds are starting to get thin.

Selwood was a toss up for last mid with Rocky as guarateed one spot and either GAJ or Selwood final spot.   Depending on timing I might consider Priddis at bye time now.  Opinions on final spot welcome?

Fyfe, Pendles, JPK, Heppel, Ward, Beams,Cripps, Vand, (Miller, Krak, Heeney)

Anybody else think injury rates are increasing?

You've nailed it. Quicker but also the thumb is what separates us from the other animals on the planet. Much more important. Think of going for a mark out in front of your face. Needs mobility and therefore can't be immobilised.

A metacarpal has bones either side and lots of little muscles surrounding it.

Will still miss if fractured, but can't see it being as long as Sidey's.

Any stats boffins care to guess Clark's new price?

Was $221,900 with a BE of minus 13.
