Could always grab Lonie if you don't have him,his price is still reasonable

Any word on how he pulled up?

subbed out with a knee/ankle wasn't he?

Got a knock to the knee. He came back on but I'd say the sub was precautionary.

Wouldn't be surprised if they rested him since they're off to New Zealand this weekend.

The West Coast Eagles medical staff will assess emerging defender Jeremy McGovern as the week progresses after scans today cleared him of any serious damage to his knee.

There were concerns that McGovern would become the third tall defender to suffer a serious knee injury when he was subbed out of the game against Fremantle on Sunday, but scans revealed no major damage and it is now a question of how he recovers.

Full injury list

McGovern has become a crucial player in the West Coast structure, with Eric Mackenzie and Mitch Brown both suffering season-ending knee injuries, so his possible availability for the clash with Brisbane at the Gabba is a good outcome.

Obviously the club will take no risks, but with the team playing on Sunday he has the maximum recovery time.

While that is the good news, unfortunately first year hopeful Tom Lamb had minor surgery today and will be out of action for eight weeks.

Lamb has battled a knee problem since his arrival at the club, played a few games through the pain, but because it was restricting his output, he needed to have a procedure this week.

Fellow rookie Damien Cavka has his foot out of a moon boot and has started running.

He will slowly progress into full training and is six to eight weeks away from starting his career at the club.

Former club champion Scott Selwood and powerful forward Jack Darling are also making good progress in could be in action within the next four to five weeks.

Would be ridiculous if McGovern had also done an ACL or similar

Glad he's okay

Fellow left-footer Jack Lonie has also escaped injury following a nasty incident against Collingwood last Friday.

“Jack had an incident where he jarred his knee on the weekend,” Barbour said.

“He’s settling well and there wasn’t any swelling. It’s nice and stable. We expect him to be available.”

Carlton's young Irishman Ciaran Byrne has hurt his hamstring training and will miss Saturday's ANZAC Day clash against St Kilda in Wellington.

Byrne limped from the oval after straining his hamstring in Wednesday's main training session.

Scans have revealed it's a low-grade hamstring strain, which is likely to sideline Byrne for three weeks.

Well that sucks from a club perspective.
