At this stage, Beams is likely to have shoulder surgery which will rule him for the rest of the season.

BEAMS UPDATE
Brisbane will sit down with Dayne Beams tomorrow and discuss the next step with his shoulder. Beams wants to play the rest of the season but the club want surgery immediately to get him ready for 2016.

Wrap him up and get him in for surgery so he's primed for 2016. I admire he wants to see the season out but there's nothing to be gained for the Lions by playing him.

It would throw a lot of teams in turmoil ( Af / Rdt/ Sc ) if true

RaisyDaisy

Makes me feel a little better that I traded him for GAJ. Either way I was doomed lol

Agree with this - Nothing to gain by playing trough hurt so go in for surgery now and then get a full pre-season in. It is not as if we are low on mids.  get more experience into some more kids Dawson for example.

Yep Beams is a no brainer for the Lions don't think it matters that he wants to play on

The writing has been on the wall for a while now.  Brisbane absolute idiots if they don't send him in now.

RaisyDaisy

Not really SC relevant but Aish out for the year too

Can't pack his bags 100% with fingers in a splint  ;D ;D.  maybe when the splints come off though.

Will Langford likely to miss season

With Beams I think we may play him for the next 3 weeks and then send him to pasture.  Reason being 2 of those 3 games are winnabale games against Suns and Blues and may get us off the bottom of the ladder.
