MELBOURNE has suffered a major injury blow with midfielder Jack Viney to miss at least four weeks after scans revealed he had a small fracture of his right fibula.

They were confident about TAdams when he was in a moonboot. I'd expect Swan to get up though

Garlett (GC) out for the year after undertaking ankle surgery on his injury sustained at the weekend
Sloane (Ade) and RHenderson (Ade) both listed as test on their injuries
J Kelly (Gee) out for a month with the unspeakable injury
L Jong (WB) out for 1-2 weeks with a hand fracture
A Swallow (North) okay to play this week, decided not to risk it despite passing conc test in-match (due to limited time left)
J Impey (Port) okay to play this week after recovering from a hammy (does it affect the Krak?)
R Douglas (Ade) out for 4-6 with a foot injury
J Cameron (GWS) will be alright to play after an injured nose
S Reid (Syd) was a late withdrawal with a calf complaint - should be right to play this week
L Henderson (Car) has a minor hamstring strain, should either play this week or next
JJK (WCE) hoping to have avoided long-term problem, but will assess later in week
B Smedts (Gee) out for 2 months to a broken collarbone
C Salem (Dee) not mentioned, assumed okay
T Rockliff (Lions) only concussed - cleared of broken jaw
J Paine (Lions) set for ankle reco, will miss the season (will possibly be LTId)

Returns schedule:
Sidebottom (Coll) to potentially play vs Richmond (rd7) - but has work to do before then
Wines (Port) set to return to action in 3 weeks after his wrist
B Crouch (Ade) still 3-5 weeks away
I Heeney (Syd) missed due to an ankle injury, should be back this week (possibly management)
M Kreuzer (Car) is a test on a VFL return this week (game or two for match fitness in VFL)
T Menzel (Car) to return this week after a VFL appearance on the weekend
K Jaksch (Car) pulled up well in the VFL, and available for selection
Selwood (WCE) 2 or 3 weeks away
Darling (WCE) First training session today, still around a month before competitive games
Viney (Dee) is into his running program, but is too soon for this week, but will consider for rd7

obv he's still got $ to make when he comes back, but wondering if anyone knows what sort of hammy it was?

no one set to return for Adelaide this week, so maybe a full game for that M Crouch guy that came on for him?
