Newton had more possessions and better disposal efficiency than Vandenberg. Both went missing for periods of the game, possibly due to positional changes by the coaches.
And it was Watts that cost them the game by kicking across goal not Newton.

The Fiddy didn't help at all

65 for Newton aint bad considering he would have lost points at the end there. Not great, but not bad

70 average is about par for someone around his price so 65 is alright. It is between him and Van Berlo for that mid 6 spot since I brought in Steven earlier in the week

Agree. I've got 2 200k spots, currently held by Newton and Cripps, but guys like NVB are still in consideration

It's poor really.
Playing against a VFL side, 65 from guy were paying 215k for is concerning

After a mark with 15 seconds on the clock.

Big Mac

Can't wait for Monday

"We're so disappointed"

"We had the chance to put it away early but didn't capitalise"

"Disposal really hurt us"

"Just need to review the game and hopefully improve for next week"

ffs it's like they follow a script every week

So from the 5 people that had him before the NAB I am expecting the ownership to bump up to over 20% now
Bandwagoners!

why the flower wasn't Salem in my team

Probably the same reason you didn't know that Vandenberg was on the rookie list :P

only caught the last 10 or so, but melb disposal was so bad, they looked like the top ups

Salem's disposal is something the Dees desperately need. Lined up on him many times before, and he's a real game-changing-match-winning type of player. He should average around 70 and at some stage throw in a 120, which is just perfect for a forward rookie.

Just saying - It was Viney who made that mistake, not Watts

Watts played alright tonight, considering the rest of the team

Right you are sir. Thought I heard the commentators say later that it was Watts. Got my Jacks mixed up!

Jukes

It's only NAB and it doesn't really matter, but top-ups or no top-ups ABEs just got BTFO

Hopefully dees can be better in the season
