Quick one on Brett Goodes.

We fell in love with this bloke in 2013 when he stayed in most of our sides for the whole year and averaged 91.2

Then he had a shocker year due to discipline and other reasons and only managed 2 games and a 26 average.

He's now priced at $245,200 which is only an implied 45.4

After a decent outing against the Dees (obviously we can't base everything on this game, but) it gets me wondering a couple of things.

- Doggies supporters, is he back in the good books ? What's his JS like ?
- Do people think he could be good for another 70-75+ year ??

Elcapitano

I could be wrong but think he's now rookie listed...

Big Mac

Dogs would be much keener to get games into their younger players - Besides, Goodes is still on the rookie list

Yeah he is rookie listed.

I brought him up about a month ago and everyone was going he is no hope to play. If he gets upgraded from the rookie list he could be a good D6

shaker

Even if he gets a game he is $245k and needs to be elevated think we can cross him off the list

A big No for me there are plenty of cheaper options out there I like the look of the cats Kojo Clurey from Port might take big steps this year and at $150 is a lock still until we start to see the sides play close to their best 22 hard to tell

honza

Slow footballer and even slower decision maker.

I don't see Clurey getting a game this year without several injuries tbh..smaller backmen - Pittard, Impey, Broadbent, and then the bigger backmen Carlile, Trengrove, Jonas and Hombsch...throw in Cam O'Shea as well who Hinkley uses in both roles....not sure how Clurey can be anything near a lock

Thanks all !
I value everyone's opinions on here !!
Thought it was worth bringing up :)
Didn't realise he was rookie listed, cheers !!

At this stage it's a no, but don't disregard him completely just yet

Someone will be elevated with Libba going on the LTI list don't forget, and you'd think Goodes is the logical choice. Just a matter of whether the Dogs want some more experience in the senior team, or give a young kid a chance.

RaisyDaisy

Has been named to play in their NAB match this week

Being named, and being redrafted back onto the rookie list after being let go kind of makes you think that it had to be done for a reason, and he could be a chance to play

I'm not saying I'd pick him, but he could play more than we think

LordSneeze

Ive thought he was a good chance to play for a while. Especially aftr the choch came out and said they wanted to get some experience into the team.
