How bad is Jezza's injury and how long is he gone for? Only saw that he was subbed with an injury, don't know anything else. :(

According to Simmo on new just then... Small chance to play this week. But more realtically, I'd say 1 to 2 weeks he will miss!

The West Coast Eagles medical staff will assess emerging defender Jeremy McGovern as the week progresses after scans today cleared him of any serious damage to his knee.

There were concerns that McGovern would become the third tall defender to suffer a serious knee injury when he was subbed out of the game against Fremantle on Sunday, but scans revealed no major damage and it is now a question of how he recovers.

McGovern has become a crucial player in the West Coast structure, with Eric Mackenzie and Mitch Brown both suffering season-ending knee injuries, so his possible availability for the clash with Brisbane at the Gabba is a good outcome.

Obviously the club will take no risks, but with the team playing on Sunday he has the maximum recovery time.

While that is the good news, unfortunately first year hopeful Tom Lamb had minor surgery today and will be out of action for eight weeks.

Lamb has battled a knee problem since his arrival at the club, played a few games through the pain, but because it was restricting his output, he needed to have a procedure this week.

Fellow rookie Damien Cavka has his foot out of a moon boot and has started running.

He will slowly progress into full training and is six to eight weeks away from starting his career at the club.

Former club champion Scott Selwood and powerful forward Jack Darling are also making good progress in could be in action within the next four to five weeks.

Brown (knee) season
Mackenzie (knee) season
Tunbridge (ankle) 12 weeks
Lamb (knee) 8 weeks
Cavka (foot) 6-8 weeks
Darling (foot) 5 weeks
Selwood (ankle) 4 weeks
Ellis (hamstring) 2 weeks
McGovern (knee) test

Darling could be a good pick by years end

Looks like we'll be conservative with Lamb and Cavka and Darling will be a slow process. Keen to see Ellis back, another calm head across half back will be very handy

Ricochet

geez how many more key possie boys do you have left?

Colledge is like 194cm isn't he? Bring him in and play him out of the square lol

RaisyDaisy

JJK, Darling, EMac and Brown

Mcgovern to play forward and back  ::).

Could bring in Barass to play back. Then send Mcgovern forward.

if not. Mciness, lecras and sinclair/ nic nat will need to be targets.

LF

Wouldn't tinker with the backline too much,it's working out alright as is atm and watching Jezza live on the weekend(we were sitting pretty much behind the goals)the little stuff he does is too valuable to move him from the backline at the moment. He can the read the play so well.
I would have McInnes and Sinclair down forward with Nic Nat doing bulk of the rucking and throw Sinclair and McInnes into the ruck when needed.

yeah would have to. Cant see them getting more than 1 goal between them but....

Would have to hope like hell, lecca, cripps and hill can put a few in between the sticks!

LF

Yeah but Shuey has kicked a few this year as well,in fact he is our 5th highest goal scorer with 7 and then next in line is Nic Nat with 6.
So we are getting goals from other avenues and not fully relying on our forwards
